I received a message this morning from SeekTheTruth. She's been admitted to the hospital in Florida with a rather serious issue.
Please take the time to say a prayer for her full recovery and that God blesses the doctors who are caring for her.
She is currently undergoing tests and I will update as we learn more information.
Thank You
My apologies for not having updated the prayer thread the last two days. We’ve been at the hospital with Jeannie and she really needs our prayers more now than ever.
Good news is her cardiac issues are serious but can be controlled through medication, rest, etc.
As a good friend described medicine to me as Whack-A-Mole, each time something is found and whacked down, another mole pops up. Not until we beat down all of the moles are we done. I think this is pretty apt.
We have learned Jeannie has a fractured disc in her back and is now, having been in the hospital flat on her back for 5 days, having pulmonary issues.
Fluid is building up slowly in her lungs, causing her problems breathing and her pain level is pretty intense.
We are awaiting results from her pulmonologist and also for a MRI she is having today.
The last 24 hours has not been easy on Jeannie and in fact this has been the first time she’s really complained or said she didn’t feel good at all since being admitted.
Please please, keep her and her husband James in your prayers and I’ll update as soon as I have more information.
Thank You and please send this out to respective ping lists who are thinking/praying for Jeannie.
:( I’m sad. I will keep her in my prayers. I just found out about this.
Then your light shall break forth like the dawn,
and healing shall spring up quickly.

Thanks for the update......prayers for Jeanne’s healing continue.....Julie
I have been watching this thread closely.
Prayers continuing for Jeannie.
Please tell her I said God Bless.
I sure will, any good news I can pass on to her right now will be awfully helpful!
Thanks Onyx - no idea how much I’ve appreciated all your prayers and help getting the word out about our Jeannie.
She’s something isn’t she? I’m so used to her traveling all over the country to various events, it’s strange to know she’s in one place, and not because she wants to be there.
I’ll pass on the message to her - if you’d like to freepmail me your real name and she knows you by it, I’ll be sure to add that as well.
Thanks
Tami
She is always on my mind. I haven’t been here all that much, but beginning tomorrow I’ll be here everyday at least for a little while. God bless you for being with her and I know you wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I’m forcing myself not to worry by praying. I hope she knows about the SCOTTUS hearings on obamacare. The hearing went OUR way. Scalia was wonderful and ditto for Kennedy, Alito, and Roberts and Thomas didn’t ask any questions. The hearings can be heard on CSPAN’S Library. Very entertaining, especially the 3rd Day.
Thanks for the update onyx. Appreciate it, and prayers continue.
Prayers for your total healing, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Just got home and checked for an update...darn, I had hoped it was better, but some of it is good.
I guess the Whack-a-Mole theory is at work!
I hope she can get them to elevate her upper body. It will help the breathing and fluid problems.
I will watch for more good news.
No white trucks, but I did get a soft “camo” one that I can fill as an Easter basket. Candy in the room, and the invitation to have some, may bring more nurses to check on her too!
You’re so welcome, dearest you. Thank you for praying for Jeannie. I was just checking here for an update from today, but will go to bed praying “no news is good news”.
Prayers for you and everyone here too.
Prayers continue for Jeannie.
If you haven’t already sent it - hold off, looks like tomorrow if she is stable they will allow her transfer, by ambulance, to a hospital in Leesburg where she is closer to her sis-in-law.
Will stink for me because she will be 5 hours away but much easier on her family care givers.
I’ll let you know if/when the move takes place.
Heading to the hospital here in a few minutes (after checking FR) she is having pulmonary tests today and may, if God is willing, be stable enough to transfer her by ambulance to Leesburg. She will be closer to her family that way.
I’ll miss being able to see her every day (she’s an hour-half for me right now) but will still talk to her and her sis-in-law and have updates.
I can’t wait until she’s able to get back on here and tell everyone she’s back and ready to go!
Thanks so much. I’ll be looking forward to your next update. Where ever she goes, God be with her.
Thank you for the updates.
You’re very welcome and new update just went up as well.
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers for Jeannie!
Evening all
I’m sorry i haven’t not updated you all in the last 24 plus hours. I’ve been up at the hospital both days. Came home last night and fell asleep literally while trying to eat some dinner (not kidding, hair in salad dressing - yuck although hubby got a hysterical laugh out of it).
Good news, she seems to be improving and her heart is looking good.
Bad news, she has developed some liquid in her left lung and is causing problems. She’s receiving treatment for it and after today’s she felt so much better. Her spirits greatly improved.
The doctors are still running tests. The whack-a-mole theory in action. She has a fracture in T-12 and needs treatments for that to help it heal and to strengthen the disc. They are making sure they rule out every possibility as to why she’s still having some chest pain, although not anywhere intense. Great news is, the pain is not from her heart.
Yesterday was a very bad day for her. She got very little sleep, hardly any at all in fact, was having difficulty breathing (the fluid) and just generally feeling lousy. After getting some decent sleep, getting put on oxygen, having breathing treatments, today was a much better day.
They are hoping to discharge her either Sunday or Monday where she will be transferred to a hospital in Leesburg where they already have doctors lined up to take on her case.
She did learn that she will only be on a small amount of medicine for her heart condition and has sworn to the Lord above, she has had her last cigarette. No more, never again and for now she isn’t going to be around anyone who does smoke.
That’s all I can update on right now. She’s loving all the messages coming her way and has read them.
Btw, funny story. Dave and I got her a bouquet of get-well balloons with a teddy bear holding them. She’s kept the teddy in bed with her. Today she told me (and took pictures to prove it) that her bear was “so smart” it was “watching Fox news” and she took a picture of it. Then Fox put a picture of Obama on the screen “her so smart bear, picked up a towel and put it over its head so it didn’t have to look at him” and yes, she has a picture of it.
Once I figure out how to upload the pics from my iPhone onto the net I’ll post them - it’s pretty funny plus shows how much her spirits have improved over the last two day.
Thanks for all the messages to her!
Tami
