Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson said Friday that he's grateful the rest of the country has sat up and taken notice of the tragic slaying of Trayvon Martin. But he can't help but wonder: Why has it taken so long for everyone else to recognize the chronic injustices that African Americans face?

The Justice Brothers are going to lose the hispanic vote for Obama...
See, you’re doin’ it. Who ever called a 17 year old a “young boy” ?
I agree with you, I think it’ll backfire big time. People are weary of old Al and his squealing, they’re more concerned with the cost of gas at the pump.
Love it when great minds think alike...others too are saying this is the plan in one form or another it all says the same thing....the Obama machine and Dnc have set this in motion....and the media will pimp it for them.
Also keep watching as they spin out the religious aspect...as we've already had a taste of. Obama can't win on the economy or anything else for that matter....but he has a nack for touching the "emotional" buttons on people which race and religion will be front and center...or at least the diversion....not to mention war.
The question is at what point will our guys stop taking Obamas bait and focus on his failures...or are they saving the heavy hitting til the election?
“Theyre being denied their inalienable right to attack people of lesser melanin content.”
That’s a good way to get your “melanin content” spread all over the sidewalk...
I read in one or two of the articles this guy being a “young boy”...or heard it on the radio. I remember this because it infiriated me they were depicting him so, as if Zimmerman was picking on some kid.
When actually the guy was 6’2 and bigger than Zimmerman
BY the way some news about Zimmermans background:
In 2008, Zimmerman attended a four-month law-enforcement program given by the sheriffs office, Kim Cannaday, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, told the Sentinel. .....In his application for the course, Zimmerman wrote: .....I hold law enforcement officers in the highest regard and I hope to one day become one.....He enrolled in Seminole State College with the goal of becoming a cop in 2009 and was working toward an associate degree....... Zimmerman last week was dropped by the school which said it acted because of safety issues for Zimmerman and other students.
Zimmermans father,Robert is a Retired Magistrate Judge....who sent a letter to the Sentinel stating...”...The portrayal of George Zimmerman in the media, as well as the series of events that led to the tragic shooting, are false and extremely misleading, ...... Unfortunately, some individuals and organizations have used this tragedy to further their own causes and agendas.
George is a Spanish-speaking minority with many black family members and friends, the elder Zimmerman said. He would be the last to discriminate for any reason whatsoever.
‘Stand your ground ‘...says you can shoot (or otherwise use deadly force with a bat, a knife, a fist) if you feel threatened with death or great bodily harm. You have no obligation to back off or retreat to safety, even if you can.
George is a Spanish-speaking minority with many black family members and friends, the elder Zimmerman said. He would be the last to discriminate for any reason whatsoever.
####
Unlike those English-speaking majorities without “many” black family members and friends, who are much more likely to “discriminate”.
Is that it?
Well yes, that’s probably it in some cases...but people have the right to select their friends and aquaintances...and there are culture differences among the races no matter where they were raised. And I am one who believes these distinctions are perfectly acceptable to each their own.....
But the context his father was speaking of, and important to understand that, is the fact there are those attempting to create a race issue where there is none...and that his son is not a racist individual nor the tendacy to be so. I believe him.
The media need to gin black anger—it’s an election year.
Remember the Rodney King affair—March 1991, the media played those tapes over and over again, perfect fuel for black rage. Now I realize why they played those tapes over and over—it was designed to get the blacks in a rage so that they would go out and vote in very large numbers. The Rodney King tapes were played over a period of months so that blacks would not forget.
In the 2000 election, the black outrage was focused on the false story about the burning of black churches. The dems also brought up the Byrd dragging death, connecting it to George W. Bush because Bush did not pass a hate crime law.
Television is weapon in the hands of leftist swine.
TRUTH there. May I have permission to steal it?
Isn’t it true that latinos and blacks don’t like each other. If so, and something happens to Zimmerman, it could start a war they were not looking to fight. The latinos will rise up against the blacks and Obama.
A long hot summer? You bet. Obama wants to invoke a conservative back lash to race riots and looting, and then declare martial law.( Obama and Odinga brought this about in Kenya in November of 2007, which caused the deaths of over 3000 people in tribal genocides, brought about by Odinga’s Orange Party.)
Obama’s comments on this Martin case are very indicative of how he is champing at the bit to attack fly over country.
Why didn’t Obama comment on this hate crime:

“Actually it is whites that are under attack. I will cite just Affirmative Action among MANY examples of this.”
As long as that discrimination is legal, I really don’t care why one minority shot another one to death in Florida. While affirmative action is the law of the land, all this means to me is that there might be a job opening that some “white guy” MIGHT be lucky enough to slip into.
It is absolutely pathetic, but such apathy (if not outright hatred) is the natural response to race- or gender-based affirmative action.
I have been media-deprived for a while. Anyone know where I can read a more or less objective article on this incident?
“Democrats want the public conversation to be about race, the 1% vs. the 99%, or ANYTHING other than Obamas record during this disastrous period which began with his immaculation.”
If the public conversation is about race, the Dems will get trounced in November; they won in 2008 by omitting race from it, and forbidding anyone else to bring it up.
The race discussion is over; liberal white America, with Je$$e Jackson’s support, has decided to settle the black/white issue for once and for all with abortion - and it is working. The shooter in Florida is from the ethnic group that has been brought in to replace Trayvon’s people; they passed them in numbers 10 years earlier than projected (in 2000 rather than 2010), and their numbers are growing due to a higher birthrate and continued imports of masses of people.
Unfortunately for blacks, Hispanics don’t suffer from “white guilt”.
Did he say that with a straight face?
Blacks have been marauding in this nation almost unchallenged and with the full protection of the MSM and many/most politicians. He can kiss my rear end.
“The Rodney King tapes were played over a period of months so that blacks would not forget.”
Very few people were ever shown the first half of the Rodnet King tapes, in which he attacked the officers; the jury did, and cleared the officers, so the government had to use their catch-all “civil rights violations” to appease the permanent black underclass.
That showed television as the powerful tool the people that control it have always known it to be.
“Isnt it true that latinos and blacks dont like each other.”
Blacks are being displaced by Hispanics in the workplace, cities, even prison; blacks bit the hand that fed them, so liberal whites imported a darker, firmer hand to deal with them.
Jesse supports the attacks on blacks with the saline injection and vacuum tube; before he was compromised, he referred to abortion as “genocide” (and he was right).
Has the jacksass said anything about the punk that beat the 65 year olds in Oklahoma? I thought not.
