FYI, he didn’t call 911....he called the police station directly.
Then it would have been the dispatcher telling him “we don’t need you to do that” then, not don’t continue following him, or don’t follow, or stop following that is an order, just “we don’t need you to do that”. What I heard was that it was a 911 operator (a 911 call). Do you have a link to corroborate your claim that it was indeed a direct call to the police dispatcher and not 911?
I know he didn’t call 911, which really doesn’t matter...the fact is while speaking to those who know him at the police, and I heard the recording, they told him he didn’t have to follow the guy and he said ok and stopped.
It goes on further with where they could pick him up once within the gated community and directions where he would be, phone number etc....he then mentioned to them to call him once they had arrived...assumingly to guide them to where he was...and they agreed.
