ARLINGTON -- Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Friday that the stand your ground self-defense law he signed while in office should not apply to the case of a teenager who was shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer in his home state.
This law does not apply to this particular circumstance, Bush said after an education panel discussion at the University of Texas at Arlington. Stand your ground means stand your ground. Its doesnt mean chase after somebody whos turned their back.
He was referring to reports that the 17-year-old, Trayvon Martin, was pursued by the volunteer and fatally shot in a scuffle.
Anytime an innocent life is taken it's a tragedy, Bush said. You've got to let the process work."

Zombies...
But what’s stupefying is that the GOPE bigwigs are throwing the ‘Hispanic voter’ under the bus as fast and hard as they can.
Well, at least wer’re seperating the wimps from the men.
Oy, tired eyes....we’re
LOL!
All is over but the hanging already and THAT is letting the process work??
Zimmerman claims he was attacked by Martin while returning to his SUV to wait for the police. How does Jeb know that Zimmerman chased Martin after the phone call? Can he prove that Zimmerman is lying?

tsk tsk....
Jeb, there are these little things called witnesses and by all accounts there are NO witnesses to Zimmerman chasing Martin down and stopping him by force.
There are witnesses who saw Martin beating Zimmerman.
It’s called Stand Your Ground. Not Lay On The Ground and Take An Ass Whipping.
Sounds to me, Jeb, like YOU are pre-judging the case. Reports that Mr. Martin jumped on Mr. Zimmerman and was beating the holy hell out of him....what about that, Jeb?
I think Jeb is a good guy, and I think he was an outstanding governor for Florida. But this is a case where he obviously doesn't know all the facts.
Zimmerman might be guilty, but he might also be truly standing his ground.
I know one thing: Al Sharpton and his mobs aren't the ones to decide.
If he had JUST sad, “This whole thing is a tragedy, but let’s not have a trial by media, let the due process of law work’ ‘ ‘ ‘”
We’d be lining up to dump Mittens and install Jeb. . .
If some black kid started beating the crap out of him, it
would be a different story
They seem to have taken down this story.
How does Jeb Bush magically know what happened when no one else does? Was he there? Has he witnessed a trial that hasn’t happened yet?
I would start off by assuming Bush didn’t even say these things and that might be related to the article being pulled.
Apparently Jeb Bush thinks that owning a gun means crawling into the fetal position with it.
This case is being investigated by every law enforcement agency known to man. Let the law work and hopefully justice will prevail.
You can ALWAYS count on a Bush to cave to political correctness.
Every
damn
time
They talk like conservatives, but when it comes time to back the talk, they go all RINO and embrace political correctness. I will never vote for another Bush prince or princess in my lifetime. Never. PC INO pukes.
Really? I haven’t been following this all that close so I have missed a good deal of information on this.
I thought Zimmerman followed and shot the guy.
I hadn’t heard he tried to leave and was assaulted.
