Polygamy has had very little support in the U.S. since the Republican Party in 1854 declared it, along with slavery, one of the twin relics of barbarism, and Congress banned it in 1862. The Mormon church officially abandoned plural marriage in 1890.
But when the California Supreme Court ruled in 2010 in favor of homosexual marriage, one dissenting justice warned that it would not be illogical to expect that support for polygamy soon would follow.
In fact, a polygamous group in Utah just last month challenged a ban on the practice in court, and now a new WND/Wenzel Poll, conducted exclusively for WND by the public-opinion research and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies, indicates there is a surprisingly high level of support developing across the U.S.
A full 22 percent of the respondents say there is no legal justification for denying polygamy, based on the fact that legislation and judicial decisions have affirmed the validity of same-sex marriage for homosexuals.

Followed by marriage to dogs, cats, sheep and cows.
“Followed by marriage to dogs, cats, sheep and cows.”
Nope — next will be marriage between adults and children. The floodgates are open now. The combination of “multi-culturism” and redefinition of marriage will make this a terrible possiblity.
How about vegetables? Can I marry my favorite garden plants? I am especially fond of one of my bean stalks.
I couldn’t afford another wife so this is moot to me.
Maybe it’s popular because there’s something in it for everyone. The guy’s point of view is obvious. The woman’s—well she gets part of a guy, but if she’s doing it by choice rather than force, she gets to be in the household of a real stud. After all, that’s the way it works for many of our sports stars. Think of it as a “half a loaf” argument.
Ann Coulter might get her wish.
Because depravity is our nature.
Why Are So Many Cool With Polygamy?
When God’s moral code is abandoned, there is no bottom to the depths of depravity so many find ‘cool’.
Just an observation but a man who lives with five women or a woman who lives with five men or any combination or permutation one wants to consider is breaking no civil law. It seems odd to me that someone so inclined would court jail time just to get married when it’s clear that there is nothing about “marriage” they respect. I suppose it might be about civil benefits but any move in that direction would be an admission of violation of the law.
And that, in turn, is less depraved than doing what the homos do. And which I refuse to provide more details about.
Because they like to be nagged in Surround Sound
i figure if any man is dumb enough to put himself in a position to get nagged at in stereo, then he has only hisself to blame!
“harcourt fenton mudd!”
how abotu kumquats?
Is it wrong of me to be less offended by polygamy than I am by same-sex marriages? At least polygamists can procreate, oft times prolifically.
Yep. We musn’t leave out those who are “minor-attracted”. That’s the new word for it.
Polygamy only makes since in the new world order. If gays and lesbians can marry that creates an imbalance in the gender numbers which opens up the possibility of the free floaters to be added on to the family unit. And that ignores the necessity of the gay or lesbian couples needing to add on a breeder to their family unit if they want to have kids without adopting, using sperm donor or surrogate.
Sure. I hope I didn't sound like I was discriminating against anything in the fruit family. I am certainly fond of small fruit bearing trees and do consider them worthy of marriage to humans.
Just remember...
BIGAMY: Having one wife too many.
MONOGAMY: Same thing.
;)
Also, multiple wives means multiple mothers-in-law.
