President Barack Obama weighed in on the "tragedy" of Trayvon Martin's death last week, saying it is "absolutely imperative" that all levels of government investigate "every aspect" of how the unarmed boy was shot.
"I can only imagine what these parents are going through," Obama said, adding "When I think about this boy I think about my own kids."
"I am glad that not only is the Justice Department is looking into this, but the Governor of the State of Florida has put together a task force [to investigate the case]," Obama said. Obama carefully avoided any discussion of George Zimmerman, the man who shot Martin, and has controversially avoided arrest under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" self-defense laws.
"My main message is to the parents: If I had a son he'd look like Trayvon. I think they are right to expect that all of us as Americans are going to take this with the seriousness it deserves."
His disdain for America and Americans is almost palpable. . It's going to be a long road from now until November 6th. .
The ONLY reason he’s weighing in on this is because Florida’s a swing state. Were this a guaranteed state like CA or NY, he wouldn’t bother.

That being said, the FL Cops should have atleast detained the guy for questioning since it wasn't the first time, he is like my next door neighbors who call 911 if my music is too loud. Nothing but a bum with too much time on his hands and a "hate the world" attitude.
The longer this drags out they are going to twist this into a "Rosa Parks" moment so I hope for the good of the country the FL Cops question this bum. He clearly is a troubled man from his past history. Otherwise the black radicals are going to start a race war which will only aid Obama...

Zimmerman called 911 everytime he spotted a black person. Would always claim they looked like they were on drugs. There are people arrested for shooting into the ground to ward off burglars and yet this guy kills a kid and is ignored??????

True....but the timing of their call and Zimmerman's taped description of Martin's actions dovetail neatly with what she says they spoke about.
She says that Martin told her he was being followed --- Zimmerman said "he's looking at me."
She says that she told him to run --- Zimmerman said that he ran.
There are more than a few here.

Statement of Robert Zimmerman, father of Neighborhood Watch volunteer:
“The tragic events of February 26 are very sad for all concerned. The Martin family, our family, and the entire community have been forever changed.
The portrayal of George Zimmerman in the media, as well as the series of events that led to the tragic shooting are false and extremely misleading. Unfortunately, some individuals and organizations have used this tragedy to further their own causes and agendas.
George is a Spanish speaking minority with many black family members and friends. He would be the last to discriminate for any reason whatsoever. One black neighbor recently interviewed said she knew everything in the media was untrue and that she would trust George with her life. Another black neighbor said that George was the only one, black or white, who came and welcomed her to the community, offering any assistance he could provide. Recently, I met two black children George invited to a social event. I asked where they met George. They responded that he was their mentor. They said George visited them routinely, took them places, helped them, and taught them things and that they really loved George. The media portrayal of George as a racist could not be further from the truth.
The events of February 26 reported in the media are also totally inaccurate. Out of respect for the on-going investigation, I will not discuss specifics. However, the media reports of the events are imaginary at best. At no time did George follow or confront Mr. Martin. When the true details of the event become public, and I hope that will be soon, everyone should be outraged by the treatment of George Zimmerman in the media.
Our entire family is deeply sorry for the loss of Trayvon. We pray for the Martin family daily. We also pray that the community will grieve together and not be divided by more unwarranted hate.
The Zimmerman family will have no further contact with the media prior to the resolution of the investigation. It would be greatly appreciated if the media would respect our privacy.”

He was questioned including being handcuffed and his weapon confiscated. The police issued this statement:
The Sanford Police Department has conducted a complete and fair investigation of this incident. We have provided the results of our investigation to the Office of the State Attorney for their review and consideration for possible criminal prosecution.
“There are folks here who are sadly extremely racist. They try to hint it in code. In this case there is no excuse, there is no media bias here, this is a lunatic who hates blacks who should be locked up.”

In the America I grew up in, you are INNOCENT until PROVEN GUILTY, not “Guilty When Convicted By Democrat Media”.
And THE FACTS IN EVIDENCE at this time do not support the current MSNBC-Induced Hate Coma many seem to suffering from.
