It was "f---in' coons". I couldn't pick it up from the posted video because of the bleep. However, you can definitely pick it out in the unexpurgated version. It's right at about 1:51.
There was no slur. Apparently someone doctored a copy of the tape with the words "effing coons". Treyvon's lawyer stated that was not on their copy of the tape released by the Sanford police. The bogus tape has gone viral in the MSM.
Just because MSLSD has sent its own race-baiter, Al Sharpton, down there to gin up a riot is no reason to call their coverage propaganda. /s

The slur does appear in the New York Times audio from the 19th (at about 1:48).
I used to know a Zimmerman. It was about 1960, I think. He was a singer. A folk singer. Not a very good one. Threatened, I remember, to my face “I’m gonna be famous one day!” Don’t know what ever happened to him. Maybe he joined the later edition of the Four Lads, or something. In those days everybody wanted to be a famous folk singer, just like nowadays everybody wants to be a gay male fashion model.
I thought maybe you were having a little fun with the name, but maybe not. Of course, one Bob Dylan was formerly Robert Zimmerman of Hibbing, Minnesota. One can never tell with names until further research.
I have read and re read the history of one William Bonney, he was dubbed "Billy The Kid" as we all know. The family that looked after him and then possibly turned him in were the Maxwells. Almost pure hispanic and spoke that tongue.

It's obvious that white people can't deliver justice to black people. As Obama was quick to confirm in the Cambrige, Mass. professor arrest, white cops acted "stupidly" which begs, "would a black cop have acted differently", and if so, what should we learn from this?
Here's the news good and bad: No white person should interact with blacks in criminal matters- it's the sole (soul) venue of blacks. Likewise, no black will intervene in white conflicts.(benefit- seeya Eric Holder). Also, dependency on public largess shall too, fall upon the 'color' designation. Whites will be liable for welfare sent to whites, blacks to blacks (same for Mexicans and Asians, but you get the point).
See, most of what we deal with is local. Good government works thusly. If these rules were in place, the shooter in this case would never have engaged a 'black' suspicious person. He'd have called the black police and waited for them to act, as he should.
Let 911 go to the black crime hotline, 811 to the hispanic hotline, and 711 to the white hotline. We can do this and will benefit greatly as a result. Let's celebrate our diversity and make life for our emergency responders less dangerous.
Race is an important determinant in the typical American's indentity these days (especially gangs)and we should embrace it. But, we must put the cost and responsibility of dealing with it on 'race' itself. No longer should a black be pulled over by a white cop. And, vice versus. Same with Mexicans and Asians.
As Americans, we need to show the rest of the world how to really be free, not pay lip-service to it. Free to only be judged by the people of your color, free to support only those of your color. Free at last, free at last. Competing forces in society will only strengthen us without all the discrimination. And, we'll be free. Did I mention that?
