March 20, 2012 [Subscriber Content Preview] Obama Piles Up More Cash Than GOP Field Re-Election Campaign Reports $85 Million in Reserves; Republican-Leaning Groups Are Expected to Erase Any Advantage
BY BRODY MULLINS AND DANNY YADRON
WASHINGTONThe Republican Party's extended primary campaign has allowed President Barack Obama to build a huge financial lead for the fall election.
New fund-raising reports released Tuesday show that Mr. Obama is stockpiling cash as the GOP hopefuls are burning through their money while campaigning against one another in the primary campaign.
Mr. Obama's campaign reported $85 million in reserves at the end of February, an increase from $76 million at the end of January, according to February campaign-finance reports filed Tuesday. That is more than six times the amount of money that the entire Republican field had in the bank ...

But......he’s so beloved by the people, I thought
he was going to have a billion?
I’m relatively certain this doesn’t matter one whit. The fact of the matter is that he’ll either be so unpopular that no amount of money can save him, OR, the process will be so corrupt no amount of money could overcome them. There’s corruption in every branch of the government, ESPECIALLY the courts. But it all comes down to an informed public, which money cannot buy (in fact money is thrown into making them uniformed, from public schools to public jobs, to public retirement). Bank on that.
“The fact of the matter is that hell either be so unpopular that no amount of money can save him, OR, the process will be so corrupt no amount of money could overcome them.”
VERY well put.
And each and every dollar is legal </sarc
But this “informed public” have their brains filled not by what they read but mostly by what they see and hear- especially on TV. Negative ads do have their effect.
He’s not “running” until he has an opponent. What does he have to spend his money on yet? This would be news if be didn’t have more money on hand.

As someone else had made mention to, I kept hearing he had a billion dollars. Did he lose it, never had it, or was that just a goal. The way things are, who knows what will happen. I’m pretty sure we’re outta luck no matter what, in any event, seeing how the debt WILL crush us. The average (not all, but average), will probably see a 75% reduction in buying power in the next year or two. Again, I could be wrong, but eventually people are going to quit taking dollars for their cheap junk, and oil’s going to go up vastly, and then we’ll have a real “crisis” on our hands. And no politician will fix a thing. Politicians can only ruin things, or step out of the way. Then never, ever, ever, “fix” anything. That’s all “We the People.” And this debt “fixing” requires an end to deficit socialst spending. My 2 cents.
Thanks for the kind words. I hate to say it, but suspect it’s true. We as Americans have come to a crossroads. We either want liberty or enslavement. We (as us on this bored) may have decided, but we (as a nation) have a long way to go. I don’t think the average person is lazy/corrupt/stupid. I think the average person has never had the opportunity to know anything different. And that’s the way the communists/socialists/liberals have been orchestrating it for decades.
Ack, “bored”=board. It’s getting late.
Yep. Which is why I said an informed public was the solution, and ads cannot buy that. Negative ads disgust and discourage people from voting altogether, more than influence them to vote for a candidate, IMHO. I guess we’ll see.
Well said....again.
Yes, we’re in trouble and the cookie jar is empty. The fat,
spoiled, complacent kid is going on a diet.
It was a prediction.
Thank you for that prompt response! I never watch TV, and only remember posts I’ve read for just so long, lol.
no problem
New tagline alert! (If I may)
I kept hearing he had a billion dollars. Did he lose it, never had it, or was that just a goal.

____________
I think his fundraising is not going as well as expected.
Thank >you<.
Remember that Obama is a Chicago machine pol. No matter how much money he collects, he probably will not get re-elected (and I think that by the end of summer he will know it)
Given that he will manipulate the money around in such a way that him and his friends will end up with it in their personal checking accounts. Because afterall, He is the first BALCK President and he knows that if anybody went after him over it, thenews media would beat them to death.
