President Obama told a small but well-heeled gathering at an Atlanta fundraiser Friday night that restoring the U.S. economy and America's status in the world is an eight-year project, not a three-year project, and that he needs their help to win the White House again this November. "This is not a three-year project, this is an eight-year project," he said Friday night. "So I need you one more time. And we're confident we can get there, but we're going to need your help."
Obama gave credit to his administration for helping to bring about new job growth and stabilize the banking system. But he said he ran for the White House not just to restore the status quo, but to improve upon it.

Ping.
I agree with him. And since we can’t get started until he’s gone, we need to vote him out this November.
Everyone copies Newt and he is in third place.
The world is upside down..
Considering that the COB is indicating that "President Barack Obamas tax and spending policies will yield $6.4 trillion in deficits over the next decade, more than double the shortfall in CBOs own fiscal baseline even after taking credit for reduced war costs." then 8 years might be a bit optimistic, even presuming that he's defeated in November.
Sorry, should have been CBO (Congressional Budget Office).
He’s building up deficits right now at the rate of $1.5 trillion per year, and it is projected we’ll see the debt grown $6.4 trillion ten years?
What do they think is going to happen after the first four years?
The only thing that sees this nation NOT realize something like $10 to $15 trillion dollars in additional debt over the next ten years, is if the December 21st, 2012 predictions come true.
Restoring America? In 2008 he said he was going to re-make it.
>> Obama: Restoring America is an eight-year project
Evidence that it’s not about restoration, but instead transformation. This jackass fully intends to destroy the Country we know and love.
I voted for Gingrich in the AZ primary, but I'm ABO all the way when the general election comes along. Anybody who can reasonably be trusted to not intentionally attempt to destroy the country is better than the dude currently (legitimately or not) 0ccupying the presidency.
If a patient comes into the ER with trauma sustained in a car crash, you don't fail to treat the injuries because they have cancer and may die of it anyway. First thing is to stop the bleeding. If you don't do that, treatment of any other ailments is impossible.
"Obama" and his cabal have some experience at re-making things. Or, just plain making things.
Hmmm, I’ve seen that somewhere before. LOL
You meant to say “To finish off the US”
Too bad he won’t be around to see it finished, because the American people have had enough of his “hope and change”, they’ll see to it he ends up on the sidewalk banging drums and defecating all over himself like the rest of the OWS scum.
That in itself is a lie. He never said he was going to restore America but "fundamentally transforming it".
