Newt was the force behind Contract with America. That resulted in GOP win after 40 years of losses. Newt helped president Reagan balance budgets and create millions of new jobs, as Speaker of the House.

Voted to allow welfare to a minor who had a child out of wedlock and who resided with an adult who was on welfare

Sorry to say but both Newt and Santorum are losers in a general election.
You failed to mention that the remainder of his campaign will serve no purpose other than to assure Mitt Romney the nomination.

Newt has HIS troubles and problems, just like any candidate.
Try the “Serenity Prayer” as there is little hope, now, for Gingrich to pull off a clear-cut victory. Even Newt, himself, calls Santorum a “Conservative” ! (Or were you listening to Newt, last night?)
I would prefer that Santorum drops out and clears the path for the real conservative, Newt Gingrich, with a proven record of big accomplishments.
America has become too stupid for Newt Gingrich.

No particular fan of any of the three... But I get a kick out of Santorum being transformed into a Jim DeMint type Republican.
The guy was a one trick pony as a Senator. He was a leader of the social conservative wing. Other than that he was pretty much a run of the mill Bush (semi)big government republican.
I wouldn’t put him in the class of a RINO or a Mitt Romney, but Gingrich was a much more fiscally conservative rep.
Newt has admitted sitting on the couch with Nancy was a mistake. It takes a big man to admit his mistakes, correct them and move on.
Let’s face it. it’s a rough row for any of the 3. But Obama-lite (Romney), will get slaughtered beyond measure.
