If you can't tell the truth in the first part of your post then why would anyone bother with the rest of it?
First Article of Faith: We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost
That pretty much says Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
You have to look not just at the words, but at the object of their faith. First, their statement is false. They declare that that Jesus is the son of the eternal father, yet by their own statement, the father was not always God, but became a god (one among many), through his merits.
Next the Jesus they proclaim is not part of a trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit, three who are one), but that he is a son of their not-so-eternal father, who has Satan as a brother.
Yes, their words sound Christian, but the "objects" of faith are not the same as found in traditional Christianity.
I told the truth. They believe Christ was the brother of Satan. WRONG! They believe we all can become god and we all get our planets. We all can rule our on little kindoms out there. That there is a daddy and mommy god. Wrong! Period. I told the truth. They are a cult. They ARE NOT Christians. I have seen too many of ex-Mormons on TV tell the story of their “religion” and say they are not Christians. They do not believe in the Cross. They believe it folly. They do not have Crosses on their “temples.” I told the truth. I have no need to lie about it.
