Will at least this very moment Myth is losing both states.
To: seekthetruth
I shuttled Republican old folks for Newt to their polling places during lunch time today in River City, Mississippi.
I didn’t vote until 4:00PM where I was Republican voter #59.
At 4:00PM, he democrat voters were already over 200 with only a US Senate seat and US Congress seat on their ballot.

All I know is that if Gingrich had the decency to accept his defeat, which he doesnt, this night would have been a BLOWOUT for RICK SANTORUMHave to agree. Rick's polled well across the U.S. and Newt hasn't. Maybe he'll show us all and sweep both states tonight but if not, it's a sad commentary on a man who's been a great public servant.

CNN has contracted far in advance to be in the official counting results room.
That is why their coverage beats the H&$$ out of FOX by miles and minutes with every single election night this cycle.

What makes you think the Newt supporters would rally behind Santorum?

All I know is that if Gingrich had the decency to accept his defeat, which he doesnt, this night would have been a BLOWOUT for RICK SANTORUM.
Santorum would win the popular vote in both states but it wouldn't be a blowout. A considerable number of Gingrich voters would vote for Romney (or stay home) if Gingrich dropped out.
To: Kenny
I would not try to go the conspiracy route, if I were you. It was a simple fact that Santorum failed to register correctly, or in time, and the delegates were taken away after the initial Soft count. It was a formality, due to sloppy candidate organization and planning. Nothing more.
The same thing will happen here and in several of the coming states. Santorum just dropped the ball. He did things too carelessly and lacks the professional background to make it happen. It will be why he loses.

I read on another thread that both Alabama and Mississippi are open primary states. Democrats can vote for the Republican nominee of their choice.
