BILOXI, Miss. - Rick Santorum said today that if a U.S. soldier shot and killed 16 civilians, as U.S. officials have suggested, then the Afghan people deserve an apology.
After an energy conference here, Santorum told reporters that the incident needs to be investigated further, calling it a "horrible situation."
"If it turns out to be the case that this person did a horrible wrong and it was a deliberate act, a deliberate act by an American soldier and that is something we should clearly say was something that we should apologize for," Santorum said. "That it's not a mistake, it wasn't something that was inadvertent. This was something that was deliberately done by an American soldier to innocent civilians. It's something that the proper authorities should apologize for, for not doing their job in making sure that something like this wouldn't happen, something like this should not happen in our military period."

Using the shooting and the various responses to make political hay is borderline psychotic.
Your a gutless liar. You just have to believe the MSM....most liberals like yourself do. Sad that you believe the media over a conservative. Figures.
The soldier who is accused of this tragic event is from Ft. Lewis. He had been deployed to Iraq, we don’t know the number of times. His brigade had been deployed to Iraq several times. This guy had just arrived in Afghanistan in February. He most likely was suffering from PTSD before he was sent to Afghanistan. It’s a tragedy for everyone.
IF is right. IF it’s as the corrupt Obama media are reporting.
Which I doubt.
Now you are taking personal attacks on other forum members, way over the line.
Maybe over the line but did you read his post too?
And you’re an ignorant chump on the taxpayer’s dole who doesn’t even know how to spell “you’re”.
No wonder you support the big government nanny. Most trough-slopping pigs like you prefer a big spender like Santorum.
Sounds like Rick Santorum’s “...you don’t have a heart..” moment.
No matter how you slice it, an American serviceman going nuts and killing families in another country isn’t a good thing or something to be proud of.
The guy must have lost it in the wake of those Koran burnings. They say he served 3 stints in Iraq. Sad thing he was in Afghanistan.
America is changing her name, “The United Socialists Apologists Politboro”, U-SAP for short.
Get some rest.
And youre an ignorant chump on the taxpayers dole who doesnt even know how to spell youre. No wonder you support the big government nanny. Most trough-slopping pigs like you prefer a big spender like Santorum.
You mean like this? I think this is horrible even worse than my post.
Tell us all about your military service, and while you’re at it, when did Ricky wear the uniform?
There are from time to time incidents of rape and murder that occur by US military members when overseas. They are handled by the military at that location. To my recollection, none of these has ever elicited an apology by the sitting President.
If reports prove to be accurate that this was murder, then the US should try the soldier for murder. The mayor of New York doesn’t apologize to the mayor of Los Angeles if a New Yorker murders an someone while visiting LA.
Instead, there is a murder trial. That is the most appropriate action. The USA did not murder anyone.
So Gingrich says it’s time to cut and run and let the terrorists win over in Afghanistan. Guess he’s trying to pick up some of Ron Paul’s supporters.
The problem is that apologizing to muslims is seen by them as a sign of weakness and apologizing to Afghans is seen by them as an acknowledgment of culpability.
>> I think this is horrible even worse than my post.
Of *course* you would, dear. You can dish it out, but you can’t spoon it back in without choking and crying for mommy.
And yes, there was no call for you to personally attack him like that, when he made a comment on what Santorum did. Not you.
