In the second half of his second hour today, Rush Limbaugh followed up on a phone call from a "Victor in Atlanta." Vince is concerned that many Americans like him, even though they want a different president, are "zapped out of enthusiasm."
Rush took Vince's call as an opportunity to look at the Sandra Fluke controversy of the past week and use its results as an indicator that enthusiasm for defending conservatives and conservative principles against the hate-filled left is as great as ever -- great enough to not only defeat the attempt to marginalize him but to force the left and the leftist establishment press to at least for the moment go into strategic retreat and to temporarily clean up its act (bolds are mine):
Don't Doubt Our Enthusiasm, Folks
... I want to try something here. It's very delicate, but I'm going to give it a shot, and it's aimed at those of you who are lacking confidence over the possibility of beating Obama. We just heard from Victor in Atlanta, and despite what is real, Victor is convinced... Well, he's not convinced, but he's very frightened that the enthusiasm to dump Obama is fading on our side. Now, there's been an event that happen last weekend, and it's had legs, and it's gone on throughout this entire week. It was an event which ended up being directed out of the White House when it was all said and done. And it's safe to say that this event has backfired on them.
Everything they hoped to accomplish this week, they've not accomplished. They might have 25 years ago, but they haven't. They, on the left, are now being forced by an army of people on the right to comport themselves to the same standards that they are demanding of others, and that's going to put a real crimp in their style. Remember, when I apologized I said one aspect of what I had done wrong was I descended to their level. And I meant to emphasize that. I descended to their level. That's what was, among other things, wrong about it. But it was a one-time thing for me. They live there. Now they've been called on it.
Kirsten Powers at Fox News, with the couple of columns that she has written on the double standard, she deserves a Medal of Valor. She deserves a huge medal.
... IF that enthusiasm had started to wane, the media and the Democrats have ginned it back up to higher levels than it ever has been since the Tea Party days of 2010. It's back, folks. Trust me. Don't doubt me. I am fully aware. The enthusiasm is there. The energy is there on the part of people on our side, all over this country. There is shellshock on the left. They thought this was the time. This was the gonna be that moment when they finally succeeded. Right now they're sitting out there in stunned confusion trying to figure out why it hasn't happened, why am I still here.
... This event turned out to be... It wasn't a fluke. It was purposeful. All they ended up doing was calling attention to their own constant misogyny. All they ended up doing was focusing the attention on all of their people on the left who are constantly and every day in the gutter. They're not there by accident or by mistake, like I was for five minutes. They live there, and that's what's been made plain this week. That has been what has been made clear. I also had -- I didn't get to it yesterday, but you may have seen this by now -- a video. Jan Schakowsky of Illinois and Sheila Jackson Lee were caught by somebody.
It might have been Breitbart people, I forget who it was, with camera and microphone -- and they would not condemn any of the language from any of their favorite people on the left. No, no, totally different! Oh, you mean so it's okay for Sarah Palin to be called the C-word as long as the guy calling her the C-word is pro-choice, essentially? Their hypocrisy has been illustrated triumphantly and in great klieg lights and is on display every week. I apologized for behaving like a Democrat. They can't apologize for that, because they are. They're there every day. I apologized for behaving like a liberal. They live there.
Game. Set. Match.
Yeppers, “Game. Set. Match.”
When the kerfufle started last week, and "sponsors" started to bail, I did my part. I called Carbonite and cancelled, and told them I was going to Mosey because of their company's lack of spine.
I was so happy to see their stock tank later that day. Then I found this on a blog, explaining CARB's long decline:
6) THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN
Carbonites kamikaze CEO David Friend couldnt deal with Rush Limbaughs absurdist political humor about a strident 30-year-old political activist who publicly demands that others pay for law students contraception at a Catholic institution.
Friend arrogantly dragged the money-losing Carbonite into his personal zone of political correctness, unnecessarily alienating millions of current and potential customers and focusing a nationwide spotlight on the companys hopeless financials.
What can Friend now do to rescue Carbonite from this bad publicity and from the exposure of his ocean of red ink?
He cannot compete with the startups on price/service, and even if he cleans Limbaughs shoes with his tongue, Carbonite will never regain the favor of Limbaughs (or Mark Levins) massive audience.
Expect Carbonites venture capital owners to invite Friend to quietly leave to pursue other opportunities.
Keep it up, people. WE ARE THE MAJORITY!
Breitbart LIVES!!
CHECKMATE
>>Expect Carbonites venture capital owners to invite Friend to quietly leave to pursue other opportunities.<<
Hopefully, that will happen to all of the CEO’s who rashly decided that the Left is paramount in this country and that they couldn’t afford to ignore the prospects of a boycott by a MINORITY in this country.
Even if those CEO’s are rabid Leftists and would never reconsider, their boards of directors just might.
I could see Rush letting an advertiser back on if their “mea culpa” included firing the person responsible for the lousy business decision to drop his program. Maybe if a few heads start to roll on the Left, they’ll realize that the game they’re playing has consequences for them as well.
Possible comment by Rush to a the Chairman of the Board:” Oh, I love your company’s product and would be happy to take you on as a sponsor, but I can’t do business with people like ______. (Fill in the name of the CEO.) Your choice, him or me. Be assured that I will explain to my audience why I’ve decided to rescind my decision to not allow you back on, as well.”

Rush has nailed this one beautifully. It’s like Clinton demanding greater scrutiny of sexual abusers, or Ted Kennedy demanding longer jail terms for deaths caused by alcohol consumption. Someone on the Left should have said, “Do we really want to make this a national issue, given our own history?”

I just closed two accounts with Capital One yesterday and took the $85,000 proceeds down the street to my credit union.
How’s that?
BTW... they didn’t ask why I was closing the accounts. I said I wanted them to ask... then gave them the story. Asked for it to be relayed to the corporate sales/marketing/management.
Yes of course there's that. But IMO there is the more important Left-wing tactics of Mau-Mauing, threats, and actual violence.
I recall the 1950s when the Soviet-style tempest against someone in disfavor (an anti-communist for example) became the 1960s New Left's Mau-Mauing, threats, and violence.
For decades the conservative targets yielded 90+ percent of the real issue to escape the abuse heaped upon them enabling the Lefties to advance another notch.
The aging 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus spoiled brats (New Left) and their ideological issue (Rat Party) once again is "sitting out there in stunned confusion trying to figure out why it" failed again!..
they cannot get it that the "Fairness Doctrine" is gone and we have modern talk radio; to wit, the silenced generation is no longer and we are free to express opinion and know "the way it REALLY is." Their MSM Walter "North Viet Nam's most trusted man in America" Cronkite is gone! Also even in their 60s the 60's spoiled brat punks suck.
That makes no sense. The left do not see that they have done anything wrong in the past. How could they be retrospective about something that hasn't happened; i.e. the left acting in a hypocritical manner?
Thanks Kaslin.

That just became my new profile pic on my FB page. AWESOME!
GLoria’s a slut by the way. It’s not defamation nor malignant when it is to warn folkes about the ghoulish reality and provocation of the left, utterly hypocritical.
Barbarians are not acceptable and are the defamation.
Looks like Carbonite is using the Zero MO of causing some controvercy over free condoms so as to hide the reality of red ink all over...
“Victor”? I heard that call.
Who is “Vince”?
