AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and hes not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (thats Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! Americas anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the E

I’ve tried a couple of times...the server is down. He must be getting a lot of hits from Rush’s listeners.
But don’t even bother to try it.....that site is TOTALLY overloaded, and has been ever since the caller identified his product.
Thanks. I will check it out later. :)
The positive economic power of Rush strikes again. LOL!!!
Pro-flowers, Sherries Berrys and Carbonite must be kicking themselves in the head over their leaving RUSH. Sleep Train begged RUSH to take them back. He PERSONALLY looked at their requets and TURNED THEM DOWN! I wouldn't want to be the owner who RUSH made a multi-millionare. Must be something to watch your business go down the toilet.
And I want a 1000 watt bulb. Don’t know what I will use it for, but I want it!
"Turn out the lights, the party's over."
I got through to the site....
For more than one century, Samuel Birnbaum, his son Bertram and now his grandson Larry Birnbaum, have been selling Thomas Edisons most famous invention ... the incandescent light bulb.
Thomas Edison Seeks Distributors
Thomas Edison, an entrepreneur and Americas greatest inventor, established The Edison Electric Light Company in 1878. (It became The General Electric Company in 1892.) Edison realized that his incandescent light bulb could never light up homes and businesses without committed electrical distributors that believed that his invention would illuminate the world.
Birnbaum Electric Becomes Exclusive Edison Distributor
In 1909, Samuel Birnbaum opened Birnbaum Electric in lower Manhattan, befriended Thomas Edison and became a distributor for the General Electric Company. Like Edison, Sam was a master electrician, business man and inventor. He and Edison had much in common and they remained friends until Edisons death in 1931.
In 1914, Thomas Edison personally presented Sam Birnbaum with a General Electric Incentive Award for his companys outstanding performance as a distributor for the GE Company. The award, a hand-crafted and hand-blown replica of Edisons first incandescent bulb with a high resistance carbon filament, is now a treasured and very valuable family heirloom.
Like Edison, Birnbaum Moves To New Jersey
With business booming, Sams son Bertram joined the company which moved uptown to a larger building on Broadway and 17th in NYC. Birnbaum Electric became known as Broadway Electric. Bertrams son Larry joined Broadway Electric and, like Edison (Edison, New Jersey is named after Thomas Edison), he moved to New Jersey to found Epic and the Light Bulb Store in 1980 (a light bulb manufacturer with both wholesale and retail distribution.)
The Newcandescent Inspiration
Larry Birnbaum said that he owes the idea for the Newcandescent light bulb to the many customers of his Light Bulb Store located in South Hackensack, New Jersey. When customers became aware of the Federal Law that would effectively ban incandescent bulbs, they started hording incandescents by buying in bulk. Larry says,We are all somewhat addicted to the incandescent lightbulb and that soft warm glow. It is a very soothing and calming color of light.” Larry went on to say that, “the inspiration to continue to manufacture the long-lasting (10,000 hours) rough service Newcandescent bulb that satisfies all federal requirements, is simply the result of what customers continue to want.”

10,000 hours. WOW!!!!!!!! If you left it on for 24 hours it would last 416 days.
I would like to see their light production in lumens. Here's the trick: they are rated for 130 volts, so at the normal 120 house voltage they will be dimmer than 120 volt bulbs from the store. Since power is voltage squared divided by resistance, a bulb rated 100 watts at 130 volts will only be 85 watts at 120 volts. Since it is running cooler, less visible light will be produced and the lumen rating will be less than that 85%. That will vary some because the filament's resistance changes based on temperature, but don't expect it to be quite as bright as a pre-2012 100-watt bulb.
Hahah, Rush crashed his system! Demand skyrocketed!
Eat that Sleep Train!

Thanks for info. I remember seeing similar discussions on other threads near the end of 2011.
LOL! The power company will love you!
Speaking of power companies...
JCP&L came to read my meter today, Having just got home from work, I was off changing my clothes and thought I heard a horn honking in the driveway. I looked out to see a guy sitting in an unmarked SUV with a bright orange vest on. Then the phone rings, I answer it and he says “JCP&L here to read your meter, could you get your dog in” I said we don’t own a dog, haven’t since 2005!
LOL! I don’t know who or what he was trying to prove, the regular guy has come and gone, without a vest, a honk or a phone call, for the past 23 years. Jeesh...
I got my shipment of 150 watt bulbs. LOVE THEM!!!
