PALM BEACH, Fla. After national controversy over his calling a Georgetown University law student a slut and prostitute, radio giant Rush Limbaugh says he has brand-new sponsors lined up to advertise on his program, and some who had canceled are now asking to return.
We have three brand-new sponsors that will be starting in the next two weeks, Limbaugh said this afternoon, adding he was not going to identify them today.
Two of the sponsors who have canceled have asked to return. We are being very careful about that. Im not gonna give you any names here. One of them is practically begging to come back.
There have been reports among some news agencies that at least 40 advertisers have abandoned Limbaughs top-rated program since the furor involving Sandra Flukes push for insurance-covered birth control erupted last week, but Limbaugh said those news outlets are not being honest.
Because they lie, and because they dont understand how it works, he said. Everything is fine on the business side. Everything is cool. There is not a thing to worry about. Whatever youre seeing on television about this program and sponsors and advertisers is just incorrect.

I feel sorry for Rush. He's had a horrible life.
Ridicule works. The left has had a monopoly on it. It’s about time we threw some their way.
I hope we never have to go to war with some of you keyboard jockeys. I hear the DNC is looking for some more knee-jerk pansies...
Dump on Rush all you want, but there has been no other person in modern times to be the most informed, articulate, and entertaining voice for American conservatism than him.
I agree and I wish he would learn from this. He does our cause no favors.
Now all everyone is talking about is BC and Rush Limbaugh. There are far too many real issues that should be focused on but they can’t be because of this mess.
We always have "Lazamataz".
On the day I found out Carbonite pulled sponsorship,
I cancelled my automatic renewal.
I’m sure they had many more than me doing that,
and such a huge blip would have had to raise a panic.
Even though Rush Limbaugh has apologized for his over-the-top comments regarding 31 year-old Birth Control activist Sandra Fluke, the Leftwing media has mounted an aggressive campaign to get Rush off the air — including directing liberals to call his advertisers and demand they drop him.
This latest assault on a conservative leader is nothing new. From Sarah Palin, to Michelle Bachmann, Glenn Beck and now Rush, the Leftwing media is eager to silence their voices and remove a key obstacle that is holding their radicalized agenda at bay.
I’ve joined the fight, and am standing with Rush.
I’m urging you to do the same by clicking below and signing the Media Research Center “I’m Standing with Rush” petition to push back against the blistering attack against Rush.

The MRC is the nation’s leading liberal media watchdog, and is committed to exposing and neutralizing liberal media bias — including these kinds of vicious assaults against conservative leaders.
Again, add your name to this important petition right now, and join thousands of conservatives who are supporting Rush!
Thank you.
I can honestly say there are several companies I had never heard of unless listening to Rush’s show.
Just got an e-mail from Pro Flowers and I replied to them that I was disappointed in their dumping Rush and was cosidering .... Grocery Store Flowers.
Those three words put fear in their heart. And actually grocery store flowers...at least at my local Tom Thumb are really nice, come already arranged and are cheaper when you consider the shipping and handling charges Pro Flowers never mentions.
I believe you are nit picking. If you are really a Rush listener, you know he gets outrageous from time to time, uses humor and parodies and over the top stuff.
Most of his listeners enjoy it. We like a little entertainment with our news and commentary, but he’s not ‘just an entertainer.’
If you think he was wrong, fine. I think you took the bait as did his pathetic sponsors, leaping to placate the sort of people who would probably never use their products anyway unless they gave them away.
Just reading that pious, sanctmonious screed from the computer back-up guy was sickening enough.
Rush himself seems to think he went over the top with comments that drifted into being personal about the woman and maybe he did. I wasn’t offended and neither was anyone else, except the fake, phony offense of the left.
When the left and the NOW group starts objecting to slurs on conservative women, they may deserve some respect.
They don’t now.
Letting Carbonite or Sleep Mattress Train back would be a big mistake IMO. Rush really pushed those products.
Hey man, don’t you be callin a spade a spade!
That's what I was thinking too. Knowing that the stinking CEO is a Media Matters Move-On.org kinda guy, I would hope that Rush would insist on his being fired as a requirement for taking the company back.
I know the whole fluking company is probably left wing extremists, but even they know about the bottom line.
Think of the PR we'd get if they did it and it would sure be a deterrent for the future.
Even the threat might be a deterrent, especially if the company takes a real dump for not complying! It wouldn’t even matter that their quality has nose-dived and might be a big secondary reason for the dump. I didn’t know it was doing poorly on some of its service and I bet most people don’t either.
Navratilova called Magic Johnson (or was it Wilt?) a “male slut.” I cannot recally anybody making a fuss over it.
That’s a nice snotty remark. Why is it any better than just calling me a slut?
I think that’s because they see their fathers and boyfriends addicted to porn. The girls are just desperate for love.
