More Obama Tapes: Michelle Obama a Race Agitating Occupier?

J.Christian Adams

March 7, 2012

A treasure trove of information is coming out regarding Barack Obama’s time in college. Over at the Breitbart sites, we are learning how Obama inserted himself into a fight to implement hiring on the basis of race at Harvard Law School. The Obama tapes also seem to show the other Obama – Michelle – occupying the Harvard Law School dean’s office. The occupiers were agitating for the race-based hiring of Harvard law professors.

The racialist fight at Harvard Law from 1988 to 1991 swirls around Professor Derrick Bell. As detailed over at Big Government, Professor Bell was a role model to law student Barack Obama. But he also openly advocated for a variety of racialist views wholly outside the American mainstream. Some of them are outright crazy. He deliberately used his position as a professor to teach racially charged theories of structural oppression by whites. Obama, nevertheless, now famously urged us “to open up our hearts and minds to the words of Professor Derrick Bell.”

Joel Pollack, editor-in-chief at Breitbart.com, said on Hannity tonight that WGBH in Boston didn’t even reply to Breitbart.com’s request to review the tapes buried in the WGBH archives. So instead, I went for the Bigs to Boston and reviewed them last month. More video will be coming out about the racially charged fight that Obama participated in at Harvard. Stay tuned.

I found that Barack might not be the only Obama on the tapes.

In May 1988, Harvard Law students, borrowing from Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, and foreshadowing the Occupy movement of 2011, occupied the Harvard Law School’s dean’s office. The students were supporting Professor Derrick Bell’s demand that the law school hire professors on the basis of race.

One of the students “dressed in black” and occupying the dean’s office appears to be Michelle Obama (Harvard Law ’88). Here is a link to the grainy video. (lower right at about ten seconds in, wearing white Keds):

It is important to note that I had the opportunity to review all of the original Betamax videotapes in Boston where the video quality was significantly higher than the internet version. While there is some chance this is not Michelle trespassing and “occupying” the dean’s office for racial hiring preferences, the Betamax video version leaves very little doubt it is her. Perhaps someone in the mainstream media will ask the East Wing if Michelle Obama participated in a trespassing occupation of the Harvard Law School dean’s office to demand race-based hiring of professors.

I'd like to think that people would care about this but - the media will turn it upside down and the charges of racism will be leveled at anybody who will use it as an issue.

Would love to be wrong however......

...Anyone predisposed to vote for the Kenyan will not give revelations of the tapes a second thought.

Exactly. The whites will support the illegal activities because they are terrified of being called racist, and the blacks will do so because they have been brought up to believe that whites are the enemy.

You know, what’s really rich about this is how poor Hillary must feel. After all, SHE was the Alinsky disciple, SHE wrote her thesis about him, and SHE put up with all of Bill’s crap in order to get her shot at the Big Job. Only to have this upstart Obama guy come up from nowhere, not only usurping her “rightful” place but now it seems, actually putting more Alinsky tactics into use than she ever did.

If it weren’t so serious for the country, it would be funny...

The point is to vet Obama, again, for the first time.

The election needs to be about Obama. There is so much that was not covered, hidden, in 2008. Going over just who this guy is - now - is a very good thing.

Keep the debate about Obama, keep Obama defending who he really is. Keep revealing what was not revealed the first time around.

Come on.. you're talking ideological issue of 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus spoiled brats here.. occupying campus buildings, offices, libraries was about the only time 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus spoiled brats were even on campus.

I would say more racial, or tribal. Back in 1960, their churches were more anti-Catholic than the mainstream churches. Then Kennedy called King in jail and his daddy, a Republican began to support Kennedy. But of course Kennedy was very ambiguous about civil rights. Until well into 1962, and maybe overall, his actions in favor of blacks were less than what Eisenhower had done. For instance, it is not well know than it was Ike who caused the US military to be fully and completely racially integrated. After the Brown decision in 1954, he took schools on military bases away from southern school districts that did not permit desegregation. Kennedy never did anything this definite, because he was not as decisive as Eisenhower. Yet, because Ike so often went through his subordinates, we don’t know what a strong lead he gave.

Like I said on another thread, these people are actually believing their own bullshit now, and that’s never a happy ending.

I think Caterpillar leaving IL for IN - right to work - is the blasting open of the gates and many US companies will follow.
Breaking the back of the unions is the only remedy.

Watching SEIU/ACORN die is going to be ugly for the LSM, and phoenix-like for the rest of us.
