The furor over Rush Limbaughs controversial comments directed at Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke has lead to advertisers dropping his eponymous radio program. 12 advertisers, including Sleep Number, The Sleep Train, Quicken Loans, Legal Zoom, Citrix, Carbonite, ProFlowers, AOL, Bonobos, Sears, and Allstate Insurance have pulled ads from the program, and/or distanced themselves from the show, either permanently or temporarily, ThinkProgresss Adam Peck reports.
Allstates advertising purchase strategy has not included the Rush Limbaugh Show, the company wrote in a statement on their Facebook page. Earlier today, we responded to inquiries about our advertising relationship with the show by stating we did not advertise on or sponsor it. As radio listeners notified us that they were hearing Allstate ads during the show this afternoon, we contacted the vendor that arranges for our advertising placements and discovered that an error had been made and advertising time had mistakenly been purchased for the show.

Some common sense and civics awareness goes a long way when using any cut rate legal aid service. If you want to ferret out every loophole in a troubling situation, hire a lawyer, that’s what they do best. If you want an easy filing with a court that has no real reason to oppose you, then go to Legal Zoom or Rocket Lawyer or the like for the proper paperwork.
Stop egging me on. That punk in Philly would have his ass handed to his friends face.
I don’t think you know what you’re talking about.
It’s going to be Bush/Rush’s fault from now on. Heck, I heard that Rush brought down the DOLT causing layoff’s.
Sears and Allstate? How quaint.
I don’t think you do.
I’ve read that some of the advertisers have SUSPENDED advertising. I don’t know if that’s like suspending a political campaign, but that’s the chicken way out. They’re afraid to pull their advertising completely. I hope Rush doesn’t take them back. Why would his listeners want to patronize companies who bailed on Rush in favor of the femiNazis? Like Rush said on his show today, hope they can survive the loss of business?
Throughout most of this I’ve said “How can I boycott someone that I don’t do business with?” I see it as almost as hypocritical as the lefties who went to carbonite and sleep-whatever and threatened to never do business there again (as if any of them did to begin with).
But in this case - just over the weekend - I was trying to decide whether to go to Sears to buy new tires for my daughters car or a local guy. I was going to buy from Sears for the warranty.
Now my choice is made for me.
Goodbye Sears...and say goodbye to a $600 sale
I’ve heard too many horror stories about All State car insurance and home insurance as well.
The last I heard the duck was owned by AIG. So they are no different than the volt.
Sears sucks anyway. My Mom bought a dishwasher from them two years ago, nothing but problems..had a repairman here 4 times to try and fix it and it still doesn’t wash good. Will never buy anything from Sears again, meanwhile I heard many of their stores are closing anyway..good riddance
Sears, where I never go. All State, who does not insure me. Carbonite, whose services I do not use.
Rush was not attacking the law student, he was attacking the use of a propaganda prop.
The victim props are used throughout their push for communist agenda. Obamacare and sick people, Buffets secretary and the shameful use of Giffords.
He is a threat to their propaganda machine, so was Breitbart.
They cannot win without the lies.
What is the name of the company that Rush personally advertises that handles his Two if by Tea business? Have they bailed yet?
The ‘BIG’ question here
Tires are highly negotiable. You can get a set very cheap if you hold your ground.
Rears.
Good one. It makes me sad that Sears treated their military employees with such respect. I’d think they would reconsider given Rush is so pro military.
