The furor over Rush Limbaughs controversial comments directed at Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke has lead to advertisers dropping his eponymous radio program. 12 advertisers, including Sleep Number, The Sleep Train, Quicken Loans, Legal Zoom, Citrix, Carbonite, ProFlowers, AOL, Bonobos, Sears, and Allstate Insurance have pulled ads from the program, and/or distanced themselves from the show, either permanently or temporarily, ThinkProgresss Adam Peck reports.
Allstates advertising purchase strategy has not included the Rush Limbaugh Show, the company wrote in a statement on their Facebook page. Earlier today, we responded to inquiries about our advertising relationship with the show by stating we did not advertise on or sponsor it. As radio listeners notified us that they were hearing Allstate ads during the show this afternoon, we contacted the vendor that arranges for our advertising placements and discovered that an error had been made and advertising time had mistakenly been purchased for the show.

Can AllState and Sears each afford to lose 15 million customers?
So which advertisers are leaving Ed Schultz and Bill Maher?
This is all part of the master plan.
So here’s my question, who are they doing this for? They’re losing Rush’s audience (huge) to what end? These imbeciles don’t have enough brains to know that the left may send out million of letters and make millions of phone calls but will shop where they want despite the political implications. It’s all a big show, they lack the character to ever really take a stand on anything.
A list of anti-1st amendment companies in a WORD format to keep near the PC will help. These companies will lose in a big way. I cannot believe Sears even gives a crap. So much for supporting their K-Mart ass.
This is really good news now some of the two or three hundred national companies waiting for ad slots during Limbaugh can get their ads on. Those who have cancelled will be sorry. Rush single handedly saved a little technology known as AM Radio. I hope he will decide to save newspapers next.
given how stanley tools makes all the tools for home depot and lowes, there is nothing really that special about craftsman tools anymore.
Sears has been dying a slow death for years.
I quit buying form Sears when they decided to make me fill out extra paperwork to buy a black powder rifle kit. The blond was quite ignorant and would not listen to facts.
Allsnake.
Sears accounts- CLOSED
FWIW lots of people in flyover country listen to Rush and decide whether or not to shop at Sears and K Mart
I was going to see about getting car insurance from AllState, but, I guess that this solves that problem.
“The idea is not about an apology, it is about silencing all opposition to their Totalitarian ideology:”
Correct. Breitbart is gone, Rush is the next target.
I’ve had my Sears account for 30 years. Oh well.
I don’t use any of the advertisers, the ones that are real, and the ones they are making up as they go along. LOL
Ho Flowers and Sharri’s Buries don’t interest me either.
Robert Shapiro started Legal Zoom after he helped OJ beat the 2 murder raps.
The “damn duck” meaning AFLAC? Don’t those folks market health plans to businesses? Are you the head of a business that this would matter?
Well, if the Black Panthers show up at the competition stores and stand on the sidewalk slamming their night sticks into their palms, I guess exercising our freedoms will be a little harder.
Farmers insurance has always been good for me.
Neither have I. I have insurance with State Farm anyway. They came through for us big time after Hurricane Katrina. Friends of mine who had All State had to fight the insurance company to get any payments.
