TORONTO (AP) -- Some of the NHL's biggest stars are featured in a public service announcement promoting equality within the sport, regardless of sexual orientation.
Rick Nash, Duncan Keith, Corey Perry, Dion Phaneuf and Henrik Lundqvist are among the players who participated in the spot that debuted on NBC during Sunday afternoon's broadcast of the New York Rangers' 4-3 victory over the Boston Bruins.

Normally (no pun intended) any “gay” who makes it in major league sports generally enjoys the privilege of his/her sexual inclinations being ignored by the sport watching public. Why make an issue out of something that isn’t an issue.

Everybody knows that AIDS spread far and wide because Ronald Reagan didn’t do enough to fight AIDS in the ‘80s. The gay community was dispppointed in him because, with his Hollywood background, he should have been sympathetic to their issues.
So, the reason AIDS became a pandemic was not because of the activities which spread the disease, it was because Ronald Reagan was slow to understand how widespread it was, and was somehow homophobic because he didn’t do enough to fight AIDS. (sarcasm)
