NEW YORK (AP) - A flower company is the 7th advertiser in recent days to say it is pulling ads from conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh's radio program. ProFlowers says on its Facebook page that it has suspended advertising on Limbaugh's program because his comments about Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke "went beyond political discourse to a personal attack and do not reflect our values as a company."

Mid 90s. What Rush was trying to do was provoke a dialogue about the hypocrisy in pulblic discourse when it pertains to the treatment of women between the Left and Right. Sarah Palin can be called the “c” term, and no one blinks an eye. On CNN this morning the talking heads actually made the point that that wasn’t as bad because the listening audience for people pushing that vitriol wasn’t nearly as large as Rush’s. That is what passes for any type of logic on the Democratic side. It is sickening, and I don’t know how to even approach that degree of stupidity. Obviously these people have been educated way beyond their intelligence.
I think we should start emailing them, I will.
Tell them they are NOT protecting my religious rights and my right to free speech!
YES...what you said....in fact, times are probably very good for Rush....there’s so much “fodder” from the DEMS he could talk into the next century.
I’ve been listening to Rush for years...
I have a question..don’t these type of “boycotts” usually backfire? I mean, these advertisers are trying to appease customers that they never had & are in turn, pissing off current customers that listen to Rush endorse these companies.
I think it will help support Rush if anyone that has subscriptions, such as Carbonite, cancel ASAP.
I remember Monday July 4 , 1988 and the discussion of downing of the Iran Air Flight 655. He went national August 1st , but NYC had to have a local show we did not get his national show until much later.
If you post a list of advertisers, please ping me.
We need to support Rush.
I first listened to Rush on KMJ in Fresno, Calif. in August, 1988, while passing through the San Joaquin Valley. In March, 1989, after I heard he would be on KFI in Los Angeles, I made sure to have my 1937 Delco floor model radio tuned to 640 kilocycles, and I’ll never forget the thrill of hearing those first notes of “My city Was Gone” shortly after 9:00 AM.
See post 12....Phone calls to slam their swtichboards Monday....here we goooooo!
GO RUSH!

I hope the other conservative talk shows that these companies advertise on drop them ASAP
Pro Flowers needs all the ads it can get to sell inferior flowers to the unsuspecting customer.
Here is one ( longtime) organized effort Against Rush now updated . It has a Listing of advertisers and contact info.

Sorry , I never did “ping” :)
Started listening in 1993. Nineteen years.
And how many will tune in Monday?
Shooting yourselves in the foot, sponsors.
If he gets into any trouble for this, I'll buy a few cases of his tea.
Wonder if they advertise on Letterman or Bill Maher?
I used Legal Zoom once to set up a LLC. It was worth it as it just eliminated a bunch of communications hassles. I still get their periodic emails. I’ll cancel those and tell them why.
It’s a Twitter based controversy reportedly initiated by a Media Matters staffer.
I’ve been listing to Rush since 1991, by the way, although I recall first seeing him as a guest host on Pat Sajak’s talk show on tv.
I TRIED CALLING CARBONITE..........HA! HA!
877-665-4466
On their connection to “try our new services”..it’s just busy, can’t get through!Looks like the calls are already blocking their lines! hee..hee.
Also tell them that if we have to indirectly pay for others birth control, then we won’t have extra $$$ to pay for frills such as flowers.
