Is Chick-fil-A Anti-Gay? And if so, Should You Not Eat There?
Reason ^ | 2 March 2012 | Nick Gillespie

Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit points to a story at Tax Prof Blog about Northeastern University's decision to bar the fast-food chain Chick-fil-A from that fine institution's campus.

Why the exclusion? On the basis of some of its charitable giving, Chick-fil-A is considered to be anti-gay by the gay rights group Equality Matters. Among the groups that raise ire are outfits such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Focus on the Family, The Family Resource Council, and Exodus International. Certainly some of these groups talk often about pushing back on what they consider "the homosexual agenda" that has continued to spread like chlymidia despite the cancellation of Will & Grace some years ago. Exodus International is a leading "pray away the gay" outfit.

You will be treated well by courteous employees. Take notice they will thank you for your business. I have taught a bible class every Tuesday morning at 0630 for the last 3-4 years in a Chick Fil A, eat breakfast, drink coffee, and chat. Nice clean place that welcomes us. When they closed down for two weeks, they asked us to go to one of their other locations. Some of the employees have been working there the entire time we have been going there. That speaks well for the management. The manager gave me Mr. T. Cathy’s book which I read and passed on to many others. (required reading for all of their managers.) Simple, to the point book, Christian oriented, that can be read in just a few hours. I recommend Chick Fil A.

2% of the population with maybe 30% going along with their political agenda, versus the rest of the country.

And they make more noise than the other 98% of the population.

Nope; I’m not aware of HobbyLobby. I have been VERY aware of CFA for 30 years since my cousins got it 1st 2 hrs from us! We all LOVED it from the start and were hooked - unbelievable taste!

I think we should start a list of the Anti-Gay companies and frequent them more often.

You can take a clue from the Homo "Rights" Crapola (HRC) list of homo-friendly companies to make your decision. Exxon looks like it's going to get a LOT more of my business (rated "0" on homo-"rights.")

Everyone please excuse me for this referral, but we must use it against them.

I love Chick-Fil-A! If they had any in New York, I’d go. However, when I move to MD later this year, I’ll have some nearby—finally!

Really? Good to know, because we’ve not bought Tyson chicken since Klintoon and his connections.

My mom will be SORELY disappointed - she loves KFC. But frankly, I hate our local store - they STINK at having all the food available all the time, on time, or getting orders right. I can’t tell you how I dread going there even for the simplest order. (We got a condolence coupon from KFC recently after my husband wrote to them and complained.)

I recommend Chick Fil A.

I live off Truett Cathy Highway and eat at Chick-Fil-A at least twice a week.

Nice people.

When I lived in CT, there was no CFA. That was a big withdrawal for me. I get the impression New England still doesn’t have any CFA. I tinkered with the idea of bringing a CFA franchise up there, and making LOTS of money. But then I moved back. I am disappointed they are not “publicly traded” - I’d make money on a bit of stock. They are NEVER empty. People SWEAR by them.

Thank you for the info! LOL

I’m rejoining American Family Association (afa.net), exactly because this thread spurred me back into it. It was so nice having scoops on who is bad or good.

I looked at the location map of CFA, and I think there are two in Massachusetts and one in New Hampshire, but all are quite a distance from me. I’ve heard nothing but good things about them.

The queers are just pissed off because Chik-fil-A only serves female chicks and not roosters by another name.

Yes! Thanks for bringing up the AFA. They have been very instrumental in making companies think twice about endorsing perversion. They have their finger on the pulse of corporate America when you can't.

Ah, army guy, huh? I kind of figured from your page!

Kolumbia has many flaws, but they still have a few CFA. In the mall, and a stand-alone a mile from me (best ratings). Also a stand-alone off 175, a few miles from the mall.

I don’t know about closer to Ft. Meade; you’ll have to Google!

My mother-in-law’s senior group at church went on a ‘field trip’ to the Chick Fil A headquarters for a tour several years back. They happened to run into Truett Cathy and he spoke to them for a good bit. He asked where they were going for lunch and they said, “Chick Fil A, of course!” (they all LOVE Chick Fil A.)
They left in the church van and went straight to the nearby Chick Fil A. There were several tables set for the elderly ladies, complete with a Chick Fil A sandwich, waffle fries, sweet tea and a fried pie, compliments of Mr. Cathy!

Thank you, Mr. Cathy! They still remember your kindness and still speak so fondly of you!!

I had never tried Chick Fil-et until it was announced that the gays would boycot it.
I went there and tried their sandwicxh, It was deliscious, it was fast, the people were nice, and now every chance I get I go there.

It wouldbe interesting to know how many others feel the same way.

Does Chick-fil-A refuse to serve homosexuals? And how would they know if one of their customers was homosexual, unless that person volunteered that information.

Chick-fil-A's business is serving food. If the company serves everyone who walks in their doors, how can they be called 'anti-gay'?
