WASHINGTON (AP) -- Newt Gingrich says he has no doubts that the Republican presidential candidates who fall short of winning the nomination will unite behind the eventual nominee - despite the often tough rhetoric the contenders are throwing at each other during the campaign.

Only if it flies four more years.
Actually, I don’t see anyway the plane is going to stay aloft.
Nicely put, sir. Unfortunately, much of it is fractured logic but I sincerely salute your passion!
House-Senate-Presidency in 2012!
:) and this is our Campaign headquarters.
If Obama is reelected, he will finish shredding the US Constitution, rack up another $16 Trillion in debt, distribute the spoils to his crony communists, and leave the vast majority of American citizens freezing and starving in the dark, while the remaining jobs move to another country.
If Romney is elected, he will finish shredding the US Constitution, rack up another $16 Trillion in debt, distribute the spoils to his crony communists, and leave the vast majority of American citizens freezing and starving in the dark, while the remaining jobs move to another country.
The only difference is that a different set of crony communists will benefit from the destruction of the USA.
Here's the good news: The 20% of Republicans who are avid Romney supporters most likely voted for Obama in 2008. Obama got 69.4 million votes; McCain (actually Palin) got 59.9 million votes.
Obama and Romney would be splitting about 70 million commie votes, or 35 million each.
Any Constitutional conservative running as a third party against the Obama/Romney communist machine could get about 59 million votes.
It would seem that with the Tea Party already having had a voice since the 2010 elections, there might be a way to organize and consolidate the fragments of that party to a solid third party.
Something has to be done, because neither of the two existing major parties represent a growing number of American voters. Both the DNC and RNC are rotten at their cores.
We need some leaders to step forward soon in order to be ready for the next election.
I would associate the burning plane with the presidency, not my country. Even if it takes living a life of quiet desperation there are too many good people that will not allow this great country to crash. They will do anything to avoid that except quit. I just thought para gliding into the desribed pool sounded nice.
you’ve got it.
There is a reason that Mitt does not connect with most Americans, and your post clarifies that as well.
Imo, Rick will lose Ohio. I wish Rick luck, but Romney’s dumping too much money.
I won’t despair, as long as Newt remains in the race- and I can, at least, hear from an intelligent human being.
Startling factoid!!!!!
And he somehow thinks he's qualified to be "Commander in Chief"?
I think you’re probably correct. Rush hurts Santorum in Ohio. Question is can one of them beat Romney in Tennessee. Let’s put it this way, one of them better.
No way in 40 hells I vote for Willard the establishment liberal. I stay home and drink beer on election night if this worthless piece of cow manure goes up against Obama.
If the Republican establishment defeats us like they did in the House after the 2010 elections when they kept all of the conservatives out of leadership, then who do you think would be keeping the most hard left candidate in Republican history, on a “short leash” ?
That is something that many Christians need to confront and think on. Many of our most religious have said the same thing.
It did, loved it. Although, it sounded like you might have been headed towards the s$@t. Lol
I detest Romney but if you're in a state where your vote can stop Obama and you choose to do nothing because your horse lost the primary race, you've as good as voted Obama yourself.
If it's Willard, I will write "Sarah Palin" on the ballot.
If it's Willard then I'm done with the GOP forever.
It will be interesting to watch as you guys grow more and more assertive in your support for Romney as time goes by.
VinL is right, conservatives will not be voting for Romney.
