Meet law student and feminist hero Sandra Fluke 6:24 PM 03/03/2012

The country knows Sandra Fluke as the beleaguered third-year Georgetown University Law Center student who has been criticized by conservatives — notably radio giant Rush Limbaugh — for her recent testimony about co-eds’ contraceptive needs before Congressional Democrats.

But the 30-year-old student who stirred the debate is no novice to the political arena. Fluke has a long history of feminist advocacy: The Washington Post reported Fluke entered Georgetown Law well aware that the school’s insurance plan did not cover contraception, only to spend the next three years lobbying the school to change its policy.

Fluke attended Cornell University from 1999-2003, where she received a B.S. in Policy Analysis & Management and Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies.

While at Cornell, Fluke’s organized actives centered around the far-left feminist and gender equity movements. Fluke participated in rallies supporting abortion, protests against war in Iraq and efforts to recruit other womens’ rights activists to campus.

During that period, she gained experience engaging in disputes concerning abortion with religious organizations.

“We feel that the information [Cornell Coalition for Life] has out is reactionary and it’s not based on giving people information about their choices, but manipulating their emotions,” Fluke, then the treasurer of Students Acting for Gender Equality (SAGE), told The Cornell Daily Sun during a protest of a pro-life display at the school’s Ho Plaza. “We want to show people they should have a choice about a decision this important and whatever choice they make, we’ll support it,” she said.

After college, Fluke put on her career-woman hat and worked at Vintage New York for nine months before settling in at the Sanctuary for Families in New York City, where she stayed until she began law school in 2009.

Pretty sure it was Pelosi. At least that is what I understood a couple days ago. Maybe she just facilitated a request from someone else.

Excuse me! Spaghetti spine?

Sandra Fluke is a pathetic little commie pig and tool for the left. Poor girl doesn’t even know she was used.

Rush exposed her. What’s your problem with that?

What kind of useful idiot are you?

Yes -It was Pelosi who called her to testify.

It was Pelosi who said that Fluke had left after Congress reluctantly agreed to hear her.

This was a fabricated event !
Fluke got more milage by not testifying under oath ~ and then the message was carried by the “useful idiots” in the MSM, and by Pelo-nazi.

The Dem’s (DNC)collected one million dollars on the alledged (fabricated):”War Against Women”

I listened to every word she had to say. She is a moron. Any person who can afford law school can afford ten bucks a month so they can have sex. She is a stupid idiot for expecting us to believe her crap. Her stories about her “friend” are also crap. She wants us to pay for her friends stupidity.
Just take your ignorance and go away, far away.

The victimized co-ed even received a phone call from President Barack Obama in the wake of the onslaught.

Poor thang, a person who works to be the victim.

*”Fluke has been using her new national platform to speak out on television, radio and social media on behalf of women who want readily available, free contraception.”*

I should like a chit-load of free chit but that isn’t proper or reality.

Rush folded because his sponsors were bailing on him. In other words, it was about the money.

That makes HIM the whore.

Take your "useful idiot" and shove it.

Please elaborate. Sure.

Rush has consistently stood up to all of his attackers over the years... or ignored them. Just this past week, he mentioned how he refuses to respond to attacks, because once one starts there is no end to it. He has a saying: "No one ever won anything on defense".

One of Rush's trademark sayings over the years has been referring to gutless politicians as having a "spaghetti spine". Rush made the comments about Ms Fluke. He should own them, just as he admonishes others to do. Did he cut Trent Lott any slack for his apology/resignation? Not that I recall.

That is my opinion, and unlike Rush, I'll own it. Thanks for a framing the question respectfully. I will always respond in kind.

FRegards.

Never underestimate Rush’s tactics. He’ll win yet another round for the ‘REAL’ Conservatives before this thing is over. Bet on it.

It sure doesn’t take much to get thrown under the bus these days, huh? First it was Glenn Beck, now it’s Rush Limbaugh. Who’s next on your list, Free Republic, Ronald Reagan?

America is falling apart because the self-proclaimed Conservatives like you (PM) are becoming silly little babies.
