Kabul, Afghanistan Five American service members and an Afghan-American linguist were directly involved in the burning of Korans at a NATO base, an event a week ago that plunged Afghanistan into days of violent protests, according to the preliminary conclusions of a joint military investigation. All six will be referred to the proper U.S. authorities for further action, said an official familiar with the joint Afghan-American investigation into the Koran burnings, who was not authorized to speak about it publicly. Significantly, the five service members found responsible so far include military

If they try and have an appeasement trial— I think it is time for us to get our rear-ends to DC. This is unacceptable.
Most of the world is behaving foolishly. The whole world is practically promoting Islam. Nobody in the world wants to offend the barbaric, phoney outraged Muslims.
Cafe owner ordered to remove extractor fan because neighbor claimed ‘smell of frying bacon offends Muslims’. Police told the owner of a Christian café in England, that he is not allowed to display Bible verses because they breach public order laws.
Newsweek’s false report that a Quran had been desecrated at Guantánamo prison led to riots throughout the Muslim world. Mobs killed fifteen people, burned government buildings, and ransacked relief organizations.
A church in the U.S. saved and held fundraisers to afford the cost of buying and shipping Bibles in the Pashto and Dari language to an American sergeant in Afghanistan.
The Bibles were confiscated by military personnel, thrown away, and burned. Troops in war zones are required to “burn their trash,” reported a Defense Department spokesman in 2009 about the event that occurred a year before.
Central Command General Order No. 1 forbids “proselytizing of any faith, religion, or practice.” It is strongly enforced in predominantly Muslim areas out of fear that distributing religious material will be seen as an attempt by the U.S. to proselytize local people.
Military officials chose to burn the Bibles rather than send them back to the church, fearing the church would send them to another organization in Afghanistan.
Yet rather than express their concern and allow the church to find other uses for the Bibles, such as sending them to people outside of Afghanistan, officials destroyed the Bibles.
Here’s a burning question with an obvious answer: Would they have done that to Qurans?

It really is a shame all of those Korans were incinerated. They make excellent toilet paper for the latrines.
This is outrageous!!
It’ll happen. And we’ll let it happen.
If the generals and admirals who “run things” were true warriors, they would all show support for these men. In fact, they should stand in the breech. But then, they would never get that appointment they covet so badly.
I ‘so’ totally agree with your remarks. I am ‘done’ hearing about and from all these sex addicts and their latest demands, ‘birth control’.
Rotten rules of engagement and now agreeing to put our beloved troops under sharia law during deployment is the height of irresponsibility. If Obama were in power when my father liberated Dachau he would have been turned over to the Germans by our own leadership to be charged with trespassing! Enough is enough.
If ANYTHING is done to the soldiers there will be blowback.
Why are Pakistanis throwing away 100s of Korans into sewage filled canal?

Anyone know of a cheap source for copies of this evil book,
the queeran? I’ve got a feeling I’m going to need to burn a bunch pretty soon.
(they burn better after being soaked in bacon grease)
They better f'ing not.
I didn’t know there were US laws against burning religious texts, nor do I believe these men were acting out of their own volition.Anyway this charade is pathetic, given that 6 US servicemen are dead at this point.
Send these boys home and have them do something else,if you have to,but punishing them most likely for following orders.....yeah since when would a military that is now obliging the liberals be teaching its soldiers to respect religion much?
OMG.

The PC mindset when it comes to Islam has infected (I use this word intentionally) the armed services.
Don’t wish death on anyone.
It is sufficient to have him writing his memoirs in obscurity...
They all deserve a medal.
I kinda hope this means that all six RETURN TO THE US IMMEDIATELY (to receive a wrist slap) before some jihadi does something to them.
Baraq Hussein would turn them over to the muzzies to be stonned if he though he could get away with it.
If I were CIC, I’d have them state side in 24 hours. How dare he make them a target.
Me too as well as being visited by the Secret Service....grrrr
Either fight the enemy with no regrets, or bring them home and stop getting them killed with PC bullcrap.
