ROME – Returning to Georgia Tuesday for several days of campaigning, Newt Gingrich accused Pakistan of hiding Osama bin Laden before U.S. Navy SEALs assassinated him during a daring night raid last May and said the United States should reevaluate its relationship with Islamic countries.
"We now know that the Pakistanis for seven years were hiding bin Laden in a military city within a mile of their national defense university," the former Georgia congressman told hundreds of supporters gathered in an airplane hangar in Rome. "Does any serious person believe that could have been done without a significant part of the Pakistani government knowing it would protect him?"
Gingrich added: “I believe we need to reassess every element of our relationship with the Islamic world and we need to be prepared to do whatever it takes to become economically independent."
Earlier Tuesday at a campaign rally in Dalton, Gingrich took aim at President Obama’s apology over the burning of Qurans in Afghanistan, calling on the president to apologize to Americans. Two American troops have been gunned down in Afghanistan amid violent protests since the U.S. military said the Muslim holy books were burned by mistake at Bagram Airfield. President Obama has apologized for the incident.
“I believe that no American president should apologize when young Americans are being killed,” Gingrich said. “Mr. President, you owe the American people and you owe the young men and women in uniform an apology for your failure to defend America.”

Dennis Michael Lynch on Fox and Friends this morning who has put together (got shot filming "They Coming to America") a documentary that proves the Adminstration is lying about the border. He said you would not believe the danger there -- who is getting across (Middle Easterners), the crime, etc. (as Perry worked so hard to get out -- "Seal the border, kill off the Cartels and no amnesty.")

Yes! The problem is that since we will not allow drilling here, and even Bambi knows that "alternative technologies," if they ever work, won't work soon enough, we are economically dependent on this armpit of the universe.
That said, if Bush had really gone into the areas we invaded and rejected any Islamic influence (which he could have done during the first few months), instead of letting them enshrine Islam in their constitutions, things would be very different.
In his defense, I think he was acting out of good-natured, trusting ignorance. Obama is acting out of malice.

Our troops are there - but we don’t ‘take’ the oil - we buy it. What would be the difference if we totally pulled out - would they quit selling to us? Oil’s all they’ve got. Muslims don’t invent things, they’re not specialists in art, medicine, industry. They don’t win Nobel prizes for anything of value.
In the past we didn’t know how awful their beliefs were - but we know now. People who kill over cartoons, kill over books being burned, kill over a daughter holding hands with a boy, allow nine year olds to ‘marry’ 50 year old men - - how could we have known? We’re starting to know now... and we need to get out of every ME hellhole - and leave those people alone. When their oil dries up - or we discover a true alternative, there won’t even be reason to do business with them. That will be a happy day for them - and a happier day for us.

Perhaps we will be doing them and us a favor.
They will have to expand their horizons beyond oil wealth and Western Hatred.
We don’t need their oil. We have our own.
There will be an alternative someday, but that day hasn’t arrived and won’t for some time. In the meanwhile, we need to drill for our own oil and stop kissing the toes of these Islamic nutjobs.
