How did this instantly become a Federal Matter?

Any number of ways, if you think like a fed bureaucrat......gun involved, school involved that receives fed funds, possible hate crime, any number of reasons to get in on the action, if your a fed that wants to try out your new toys...........

Channel 5 is reporting at least 20 federal agents are searching numerous homes in a neighborhood outside of Chardon and a mobile crime lab has been set up. Multiple search warrants have been issued.

Some local official interviewed on FN explained it this way... The local police have a alert type called “active shooting” and it is preset that Federal Law Enforcement Agencies along with all local Law Enforcement Agencies will respond to the shooting. The ATF and FBI responded to this incident (and who knows who else)... To me - this is totally unwarranted and it is a prime example of the erosion of State’s Sovereignty... State officials should not do this ... The severity of the situation was pretty well known early on and the Sheriff’s Office report it had the situation under control. And - Severity not withstanding ... it was a total STATE - County - City Jurisdiction situation. State and local authorities should not be allowed to assume authority to sign away willy nilly State Sovereignty Rights held by the people of that state.
