The field is set.
Tony Stewart won the first Duel under caution and Matt Kenseth took the checkered in a caution-free second event to set the lineup for Sunday's Daytona 500.

Who will ride a lucky airstream to Victory Lane on Sunday?
Will the field get Smoke'd again?

Donna Mae, now that’s a name from the past.
I raced against Lyn St. James in SCCA back in the 70s when she used her real name Evelyn Cornwall.
Between Ford and Gov Motors who would cheat...oh wait...Fiat/Chrysler!
And I Love my ‘98 Durango!
Track drying out...they may race...running for my Bristol beer glass.
Hey..I remember her! Were you at mid Ohio? Is that where I’m thinking?
“The insurance co. has pretty much made Nas put a limit on how fast they can go.”
Just think of whats it’s going to be like for all sports
when Obamacare kicks in. But don’t worry, I’m sure NASCAR
will embrace the Obama plan.
Donna Mae drove a pink Austin IIRC. Not to be unkind but that had to be a tight fit...not that I could fit now.
A few years ago I got a project Fiero for my daughter. She didn’t like it from the word go but I gave up the day I replaced the hinge for the sunroof and had to ask mrs p6 to help me out of the car.
There was much ridicule from family. The Fiero was towed within a week.
4:02 p.m. ET — As updates go, it’s pretty much what you might have expected. Track drying is still under way, it has stopped raining and there’s hope of getting the race in tonight. However, there is also another big rain cell headed in the general direction of the facility.
3:57 p.m. ET — The skies over the track are looking much more encouraging than at most any other point today!
NASCAR might but the fans won’t.
This is what used to be NASCAR. Don’t get mad at me if you
like your cool-aid watered down. I’m just tired of the long
arm of liberalism sticking its finger into every aspect of
my life and every thing I enjoy, including auto racing.
Hahahaha! The fire helps me go faster!
Is there a race track in Spanaway Wa?
Hey you are from Houston. Did you know Mean Gene Kelton, southern blues, biker guitar guy? He was my distant cousin.
Baytown, Crosby, Dayton....pretty cool place. A lot of my friends moved there but most have passed now.
Gene passed in a head on with a school bus a little over a year ago. He was on the way to a New Years gig when someone stopped in front of him and he swerved into the bus. Was driving an Explorer. One vehicle I won’t buy. Superstitious and I love my Durango.
Are you still in Kansas? Or are you back in NC?
Don’t I wish...but no.
Still in Kansas...they haven’t given us a move date yet but we’re supposed to be out at the end of August at the latest.
IIRC I ran against LSJ at Nelson Ledges, probably circa 1974.
I’m sure that a NHRA safety system could be made to fit in
place of the drivers seat. It would still remain a stock
car sense drivers safety didn’t effect the mechanics of the
car. I’m sure the bait of the question was that even by
the driver putting on a helmet and installing a 5 point
safety harness would render the car “UNstock”.
In NASCAR, nobody rides for free.
“Track drying out...they may race...running for my Bristol beer glass.”
Tread the tires and run race now.
NHRA mandates a full cage if you run 10.99 or 135mph and they don’t turn corners.
