“Perry may have dropped out but I will forever believe he won on character. He is a good man. They don’t make many of ‘em like that any more!”

Perry is indeed a fine man and I really like him. Particularly his classy timing in withdrawing before SC. Notice him sitting with Newt’s wife this evening? Newt’s got some great endorsers which says a lot for him.

Looking back, I think it's a shame that Perry did so poorly in his early debates.

Looking back I can say I misjudged Perry, fought against him, and now regret it.

It doesn't matter now, as Perry has withdrawn and firmly supports Newt. Much to his credit, he is still in the mix, and trying to do the right thing.

At this point we need to get rid of Romney, not fight old fights about Perry.

My Italian husband's parents came over on the boat, and he liked Ricky due to that but his heart was always with Ricky gumba, now he sees the light..

is just an empty suit and he is pushing Newt!

If a strong Italian businessman sees thru ricky everyone should!

My husband talked to Adelson in depth a few months ago and the reason he is supporting is Newt , is that Newt will support our Israeli ties!

For all you non gaming people... Adelson's first foray into gaming was with the Venitian.. prior to that he was just a billionaire..LOL so do not equate his support for Newt as big gaming.. It is his Jewish roots, which more Christian's should embrace! Why is Adelson not back Rick? He doesn't trust him.. ,

Adelson, is very transparent! It is Israel or bust, and I agree with him.. being a gentile who believes in Jesus! You can talk to talk, but Newt, walks the walk...

We personally know what Adelson's message is, and it isn't MItt or Rick.... People of the bible should take heed! This is all about our existence and not about the US social issues! Which will be no more if we do not sustain ourselves as a country!

So go NEWT! GIVE IT YOUR BEST... YOU ARE OUR ONLY HOPE, IN SAVING OUR COUNTRY!!!

He did all right. Watching the replay now, he really smacked mitty up on the title10/arlen spector/romneycare exchange.

Thanks for using the term Perrybots, one of your favorites. I simply don’t believe you.

The Perry threads were all about the good things Perry had done in Texas and his positive plans for the country.

I never saw any of the kind of remarks you refer to. I am certainly not a leftist and you are the one dealing in revisionism. I said I would knock it off when people stopped lying.

Give me one instance and name the attacker. I just don’t believe you.

Cain hated Perry BAD.
Tried to pin that whole “Naggerhead BS” on him, and it worked.
**********************
Aye, and I now suspect it was Romney and or Rove that got that story out there. Just my opinion, of course.

Totally agree as with my prior upthread poss calling for that very thing. But someone here refuses to let it drop and I won’t let her rewrite history.

I would also like to point out that I was told I wasn’t a christian because I wasn’t voting for Santorum. Yeah

And then Newt Gingrich being called names too by some Santorum people. It goes both ways and it doesn’t make either Candidate look good for those that do it.
There are a lot of lurkers and I don’t think it looks for for FREE REPUBLIC as well.

I don’t mind the opinions of liking or disliking some candidate for what ever reason. But CALL THEM BY THEIR NAMES.

(Now I don’t care how Romney’s name or “O”s is worded in the least!) ;)

Thank you! He was 11th armored cav army! He enlisted! He was deferred due to his college courses, but chose to serve! He had helicopter rescue duty in Vietnam..I am sure he would love to talk to you!! He is very military oriented. My step daughter was also Army! She served at Fort Campbell.. Paralegal for the Jag team on the rape cases!

No one but those who served in that era can feel the pain, so says my hubby, and I defer to him on that!

Considering your posts on the subject, you should just keep your head down.

Seems many of your old team just refuse to let it go. So be it. People can review the old threads themselves. I’m done.

LOL, even one of the Santophiles posted a few pages back that he just knew no one was watching the debate anyway and it would have terrible ratings. That’s even sinking further into desperation and lousy, phony talking points than they usually go.

I liked Santorum well enough as a second choice after Newt for a while but, unlike Newt, his record has not held up well under the increased scrutiny. I was surprised that was the best defense he could come up with for voting for the bill with the Planned Parenthood funding. That made me question whether his moral convictions are as strong as he likes to say they are. And when he came out and pretty much openly said he was a “go along to get along guy” in Washington (not even disagreeing when Ron Paul used those words) he just shredded the whole basis for his candidacy in these troubled times to pieces.

I thought another great Newt answer was how he said they are probably all more distrustful of big government than they had been in the past. I think that was a believable answer about how someone’s positions can honestly evolve over time.

Actually, the birth control pill does not prevent conception, it just prevents the conceived egg from lodging in the uterine wall creating a hormonal block causing the egg to pass through.

The morning after pill dislodges or prevents the conceived egg from lodging in the uterine wall causing a hormonal block and the egg to pass through.

But Newt has as pro-life a voting record as anybody. And both Newt and Rick have endorsed candidates who were less pure than them on the issues when they felt the vote was strategically right for other reasons.

Saintorum thinks the feds should tell us what to do on schools and churches as well as unions and all that other stuff he has no clue about, while he increases the budget to please us all.
