Arizona congressional candidate Paul Babeus ex-boyfriend spoke to CNN on Monday, saying he felt used and threatened by the Pinal County Sheriff after their relationship ended.
Babeus ex-lover Jose, a 34-year-old Mexican national, told CNNs Miguel Marquez that Sheriff Babeu threatened to have him deported if he went public with their affair. Joses face is pixilated in the interview.
Jose who said he is in the country legally told Marquez he felt used during the affair. Marquez then asked Jose, Used. And then threatened?
Yes, Jose said in the interview. I got a text from him, directly, on my phone saying that I will never have business, that my family will be contacted.
Jose said Babeu threatened him with deportation if he exposed their affair. Do you think he was trying to make you leave the country? Marquez asked.
Maybe, Jose said. He just, what I think he just want me to keep me as far as, so I dont say anything about him or about his behavior.
They met in 2006 on a gay dating website called gay.com, and Jose said the first picture Babeu sent was a photo of him with Sen. John McCain.
Jose also told Marquez that Babeu never asked him what his status was during the course of their relationship, and said he is in the United States on a ten-year multiple entry tourist visa.
Babeu has stepped down as a co-chair of Mitt Romneys presidential campaign after Joses story was reported in the Phoenix New Times, but said he will continue with his congressional campaign. At his press conference on Saturday, Babeu acknowledged he is gay, but denied Joses allegations that he threatened to deport him once their relationship ended.
All of the allegations are false except one, I am gay, Babeu said on Saturday.
Well alrighty then.
Does the Sheriff yell,” Shtooop or I’ll soooot!”
Hard blow for Willard in AZ.
Babeu yesterday said he supported "gay rights". I can no longer support him. This matter is sordid and potentially criminal. He should withdraw.
Lovely.

NO THANKS! BUH BYE, BABEU!
Sheriff Babeu is in one of the dems coalition groups and made the fatal mistake of trying to leave the plantation (bath house?). so now they must destroy him for his “crime”
Naw. Not even a scratch.
Is that a slam on McCain?
A couple of blondes with a roll of duct tape and a couple of Sharpies. The jokes write themselves.
Well, you’re from Arizona so you are familiar with Capt McQueeg,Would you bet your farm he and Lindsey Graham aren’t kissin butt buddies?
the Dems export their homosexuality, leave MA, go to another state, pretend you’re a republican and then once elected vote for their homo agenda.
I guess Megyn Mccain is so proud of her turd poker
As for equal right, er they do , they can marry just like us, just not the same sex like us but if you do go with their equal rights views then I guess we have to give rights to the muslims who should have 4 wives, the mormons who want 9 wives, the woman who wants to marry her dog or the father who wants to marry his daughter
sick frigging idiots all of them
“Senator, you’re one of us.” Bwahahahaha!
Which one is out of the closet???
He violated the #1 rule of politics: don't get caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy.
All of the allegations (except the allegations that this sheriff trolls on homo web sites for sex with strangers, and that he has been deceiving everyone for decades, and that he was breaking the law* while a commander in the military) are false.
(*DADT did not change the law, it simply said “we won’t enforce the law if we don’t find out you break it, and we won’t be monitoring to see if anyone breaks it” - but those having homosex were breaking the law.)
