Ridiculously High Gas Prices Expected To Hit Major US Cities By Memorial Day (OBAMA'S FAULT!)
business Insider ^ | 2/19/2012 | staff

From the Mercury News: Gas prices surging beyond $4 a gallon -- and they will go higher

Gasoline prices are rising at an almost unheard-of pace, and painfully so in California, where the cost for a fill-up now exceeds $4 a gallon in five cities and is approaching that dreaded mark in numerous others, including San Jose and Oakland.

The statewide average of $3.96 on Friday is 25 cents higher than just a month ago and 46 cents more than this time last year. ... Some oil analysts predict $4.50 a gallon or more by Memorial Day on the West Coast and major cities across the United States such as Chicago, New York and Atlanta.

Everything I’ve been reading says the upward pressure on oil — and in turn gas prices — likely will continue through the end of the year.

ALmost 4 bucks a Gal here in Pittsburgh. Soon it will be at 5 because three refineries in the Philly area that make “Summer Blend” gas are shutting down because they are too old.
The local reps tried to get the Pittsburgh area exempt from the stupid summer gas thing but OBAMAs EPA would do it.
Thanks OBAMA and the stupid people who voted for this turd.

This weekend driving around Los Angeles I was constantly stuck in traffic jams.

There is supposedly high unemployment here so high gas prices should be keeping people off the streets.

Either there is a thriving underground economy going on, or people are just spending money regardless of their income.

I'm afraid that the price of gasoline is not going to be a major issue in the upcoming campaign.

So much for vacation revenue for resorts and the like...

Well, we are meant to be herded into population centers and dependent on public transportation anyway aren't we?

Yep: Gas is going up.

Now this Governor we have here in maryland wants to raise the tax on a gallon of gas by .24 cents in addition to the tax we have on it now.

He claims it is to fix our roads, but he is lying like all Democrats.
You see the roads would not need fixing if he hadn’t taken the Highway fuind nd spent it on Social Programs. If the tax raise goes through he will still not fix the roads he will again steal it for more Socialist programs.

It was a great day for Maryland last week when 72 Homosexual House of Delegate members voted for the same sex marriage act. Were all 72 Homosexual? In my book if you promote Homosexuality you are Homosexual.

I believe we can defeat it in a Referendum, Maryland isn’t that full of fruits, although we have our fair share.

I retired three years ago when the usurper got into office.

I had planned to travel across the US and enjoy myself every few months. As of today, I have been to one out of state funeral and two short local trips, because the high gas prices have kept me here.

When the Usurper is removed from office and things stabilize, I may be too old to go anywhere.

As much as I HATE the coming gas hikes, it will:

1) Kill whatever economic growth we might have had.
2) RAISE food prices across the board
3) REALLY P’OFF the ‘mushy middle’ voters
4) Make Sarah Palin look prophetic
5) Take quite a bit of (real)votes from Obama

The media will spin, but too many will know better.

JMO..

Oh, the MSM will cover it alright...in their usual bad news for Barack mode...here it is, but really there’s nothing to see here, let’s move-on.

Or...plan B...high gas prices are really Bush’s fault. I don’t think the MSM has yet covered the pipeline veto...at least not in any way to put President god in a bad light.

These “reporters” are terrible.

Did anybody else see Bob Schieffer at CBS this morning hammering away at Rick Santorum? Clearly, if Santorum is the nominee he will become the “anti-woman” candidate.

Like there should be a right in the government to force church hospitals to grant abortions.

Some of these “reporters” seemingly have never even heard of the establishment clause.

As Gas prices go up, his chance of re-election goes down. Jimmy Carter found that out the hard way.

Gas at my local ARCO station has gone from $3.75 to $3.95 in the last three days. That’s the cheapest price around. The Unocal station nearby is charging $4.13 for regular self-serve. That was yesterday. Who knows what it will be today.

Thanks OBAMA and the stupid people who voted for this turd.

Personally I'm ready for it and can't wait. I hope it goes to 7 dollars a gallon (yeah...I know be careful what you wish for). Anything to get this idiot OUT. It just stinks that good hard working people have to suffer too, but the Obama voters get everything they deserve.

I want $6 gas by November 6th.

It's the one economic statistic they can't lie about.

Yes, I saw that. Schieffer only really got into taxpayer mandated funding of “prenatal care” and public education. Nothing on foreign policy, defense policy, or the economy.

He really worked hard putting Santorum on the defensive on those two issues.

It was painful to watch.

I would HAPPILY pay 8 dollars a gallon ‘til election day — if I thought it would force Obama out.

Besides, I drive a Prius (with anti-Obama bumper stickers so people know I’m not a Democrat).

Well, it doesn’t help gas prices that most of the Democrat states, and some red states, as well, are in the process of raising gas taxes at the pump or putting additional taxes on oil companies.

The was a major fire at the BP refinerey in WA, on Friday, the largest refinery in the Northwest, that supplies gas to seven (maybe nine) different states in the west and most of the jet fuel to airports. So, yes, prices are headed up.

Where I live, public transportation is swirling the bowl. Severe service cuts coming in September, along with a rise in fares. It’s getting to the point where it will actually be cheaper to drive even with $5 a gallon gasoline.

For people like me who don’t drive, we have few if any options. Eventually, we won’t be able to go anywhere. This will sound the death knell for many businesses. My local mall now has a number of empty storefronts. As fewer and fewer people can no longer drive or take the bus, there will be more empty storefronts.

All part of the Obama master plan to destroy America.
