We have to look at the root cause of why the economy is struggling as much as it is, Santorum said. Government intervention. Government regulation. Government taxation. Government is crushing and destroying the American spirit and the American free enterprise system.
Santorum said that government spending was impinging on personal freedoms and ultimately chipping away at what made the country great.
When the government gets as big as its gotten and starts to take over more of your life, then you get smaller as the individual, you get weaker, you lose control over your lives. You lose the rights that were guaranteed you. That is whats at stake here.

People need to know that the real danger is not losing our “right” to abortion or gay marriage or a free meal, it’s not global warming or corporate profits, it’s a government with too much power.

Sounds like one and the same to me. Just say’n
Amen!
One and the same? You mean a government giving you a right to abortion, gay marriage, a free meal, that controls what you do in the name of global warming and corporate profits is a government with too much power? I agree. But insistence that we need any of the formers is just a clever way to hide the real goal of bigger government.
Amen. There is no greater danger to liberty than what we have witnessed the past few years. A slow stripping of our rights and runaway crony corruption.
The picture is great. Worth a thousand words.
OK, I guess. ;-)
Still talking about the problems, but never telling us what he will do to change it. No Plan for America, but boy does he have a sure fire plan for getting the nomination.
Santorum/Romney or Romney/Santorum. Whatever it takes to get the delegate total to 1144 and his name on the ticket.
I believe Rick said he preferred Newt as his Vice President.
Love it, CC.

He doesn’t have that kind of competency. He’s an establishment bit player.
The only proven, non-establishment candidate that has the ability to affect change is Newt. But the Huckabee crowd is going out of their way to make his election an impossibility. So there we all will be, back with Bam Bam in 2013.
The buzz in PA among GOP insiders is that Rick will gladly accept a ticket with Romney, if that is what it takes. His big money backer Friess (who supported Romney in 2008) has alluded to the same thing.
Rick’s goal is to be on the ticket. If he can get there without Romney’s delegates, surely he will pick a different VP. If he can’t, expect the Party Establishment to have the Romney/Santorum or Santorum/Romney deal all set. They do not want a brokered convention.
One other scenario that might throw a monkey wrench in that alliance would be if Newt got enough delegates that Rick and Mitt still didn’t have the magic number even combining their delegates.
It stinks to high heaven and if the Mitt/Rick deal happens, maybe we’ll at least see a new Conservative Party out of it. People should be sick of this corrupt mess.
See post 18. I got this form a very reliable source with insider connections to the PA GOP.
