FOX News Course Correction Rankles Some (ya Think???)
Politico ^ | 02/14/12 | Keach Hagey

As a white, male, middle-aged conservative talk radio host from Virginia, John Fredericks is something close to the Platonic ideal of a Fox News fan.

And until last year, he was one. But then Fox’s treatment of the Republican primary race — the presentation of Karl Rove as a political analyst despite his having “thrown in for Romney” and Sean Hannity’s clear ties to the Republican establishment — began to grate on him. So he changed the channel.

...Snip...

The grumblers were picking up on a strategy that has been under way for some time — a “course correction,” as Fox chief Roger Ailes put it last fall — with the network distancing itself from the tea party cheerleading that characterized the first two years of President Barack Obama’s presidency. Lately, Fox has increasingly promoted its straight-news talent in the press and conducted some of the toughest interviews and debates of the Republican primary season. Just last week, it hired the openly gay liberal activist Sally Kohn as a contributor.

...to a sneak a peek at Kimberly Guilfoyle’s legs.

No sneaking required. Like most of the FOX bimbos, she invites everyone to look up her skirt.

“what’s needed: a news network that would come in at the right of FOX.”

Right On! Right On! Right On! (Quoting Rush)

I totally agree. We need a news channel wayyy to the Right. I.E. a true Conservative news channel. In other words, a channel that tells the truth, not spin.

“When Sally comes on my telly, I change the channel.”

Ditto. I’m just waiting to hear that they’ve hired lib Alicia Mendendez (dtr of NJ Dem Senator Bob Menendez).

I’ve been tuned in to Fox for a long time but, lately, seems like they’re tilting left. Sure looks like Fox has forgotton ‘who’ made them successful. If Fox believes MSNBC viewers will switch stations.....doubt they’ll continue to be successful.

GBTV tells the truth and covers the tough stories unlike the rest of the media.

I'm finding myself watching Fox Business more than FNC, Varney loves putting the screws to Bambi's economy.

"I guess Fox got tired of being called Faux News by the libs... "

Indeed. Now they can take comfort in being called Faux News by conservatives.

Interesting how we all see things from our own perspective....seems to me Fox has given Santorum and Gingrich much more air time than Romney.

In any event, it also seems to me that Fox has begun to tilt left. I have no problem with true ‘fair and balanced’ presentation of FACTS but when they bring on Sally Kone and the blonde Professor from Calif(don’t recall her name and don’t try to)there’s just blather with few facts.

Your fault if you’re sitting in the house reading a book when a tornado hits then. Only a moron would cut off their nose to spite their face like that.

You’re going to go down THAT road???

It’s a straw man sized load of bovine processed feed grains.

TV is the LAST place one should ever want to go if they are concerned about getting timely weather warning information.

I am a trained National Weather Service Weather Spotter - I don’t need no stinking graphic crawl on a TV to tell me bad weather is coming... and I have other, better - more timely and effective means at my disposal for getting weather warnings.

You’re free to be the moron and depend on your TV for information that’s potentially critical to life safety... I sure as hell am NOT.

IMHO it is the insidious incessant condescending G.. D.. commercials they show. All ads all the time.

Sorry, Keith, you haven’t a clue what you’re talking about. Here in Oklahoma, we have some of the best tornado weather coverage in the country, probably the world. The rest is pap, but the tornado coverage is top notch. You can go out and clog the roads with your tornado chasing if you like, but you’re getting in the way of those who know what they’re doing.

When Sally comes on my telly, I change the channel.

So do I. She makes me extremely angry with that smug smirk and patronizing attitude.

I DO have a clue. Plenty of clue. Sources I use for weather warnings BEAT TV by MINUTES all the time. Depending in TV alone will one day get you killed.

Sally Kohn is gay. I mean I never would have guessed that. When I saw her on FOX I didn’t know what her name was, but I never would.............can’t go on with this charade. The woman does not have to be openly gay to be openly gay.

I’m a woman, so her shenanigans do nothing for me. But I am sure the husband would enjoy the show if we watched that stupid program.
