As a white, male, middle-aged conservative talk radio host from Virginia, John Fredericks is something close to the Platonic ideal of a Fox News fan.
And until last year, he was one. But then Foxs treatment of the Republican primary race the presentation of Karl Rove as a political analyst despite his having thrown in for Romney and Sean Hannitys clear ties to the Republican establishment began to grate on him. So he changed the channel.
The grumblers were picking up on a strategy that has been under way for some time a course correction, as Fox chief Roger Ailes put it last fall with the network distancing itself from the tea party cheerleading that characterized the first two years of President Barack Obamas presidency. Lately, Fox has increasingly promoted its straight-news talent in the press and conducted some of the toughest interviews and debates of the Republican primary season. Just last week, it hired the openly gay liberal activist Sally Kohn as a contributor.

For the many Freepers who have been posting lately that FOX was becoming harder for conservatives to watch, now we know there's a reason for that. It's deliberate and they think they can do without us. We'll see.
Hardly watch at all any more.....
Soros said he would get Murdoch, if he didn’t pull Glenn Beck off the air. And he did.
You’ll note the changes began just as the NewsCorp UK charges came out. Dissent from the approved Socialist Narrative will not be tolerated.
Soros Mission accomplished.
I watch Fox a LOT. Probably too much. Maybe I’ll try CNN for a little bit this week.
>>> I tune into CNN when I want news.
CNN does not do news. They do Demonrat spin. If you want real news, turn off your damn TV, and read a variety of NON-US newspapers on the web.
When Sally comes on my telly, I change the channel.
When I want news I'll do what I damned well please and that will include tuning into CNN.
This is the same strategy the GOP uses.
1) Lock down the conservatives.
2) Since conservatives have no place else to go, shift left and pick up moderates.
Of course, the problem with this logic is the “conservatives have no place else to go.” Conservatives will find someplace else to go, even if they have to build it themselves.
I do not watch, listen to, or read anything at all from the msm.
It's that simple.
Just know that on CNN, you’re not getting news. If you think you are, you’re deluding yourself. The only thing CNN is good for is live, spot news. Anything else, they’re crap.
That and the fact of the sell out to the Saudi Prince Al Aweed bin Talal al-Saud!
FNS simply can not be trusted anymore.
Stopped watching in December, couldn’t be happier.
CNN apparently just fired all the jews from their Jerusalem bureau....
much less overtly biased??
Freedom works with Judge Napalitano now coming off the air also,
this show is a true education of our constitution such a shame!!!! I know
Judge is in the bag for Paul but I am very sad to see his show going too.
I watch Fox all the time and it has changed a lot !!!!!!
FNC had the highest ratings by far of any news-oriented channel and some of the highest ratings in all of cable...
and that is bad? It needs correcting?
I agree completely. Seems as though all they do is push their personal book sales and giggle constantly about the damn dumbest things.
Their support for Rove and Romney made me finally change the channel. Not being able to find anything watchable, I turn on my computer and go to Free Republic.
Gave up on Hannity years ago, especially with his refusal to help the birthers with their attempts to get that foreigner and illegal alien out of our White House. Add to that his giggling love affair with Calvin Broadus, Jr (AKA: Snoop Dog) where he thought it was just so cute that this punk, drug dealing, pimp thought that Hannity was cooler than he was. (Giggle, Giggle)
They really jumped the shark when they put a obama kool aid drinker on bulls and bears and their finance shows.
The truth is UNFAIR. It is not equal time.
$$$ talks...fair & balanced walks
Fox dumped Glenn Beck, now dumping Judge Napolitano and Bolling from FBN.
Something is going on - they must be trying to gain liberal viewers in exchange for losing conservatives....knowing they have no where else to go.
The comments on their blogs reflect a lot of lefty hatred.
Wussies!!!
I guess Fox got tired of being called Faux News by the libs...
