Newt Gingrich Just Totally KILLED It At CPAC.
Business Insider ^ | February 10, 2012 | Grace Wyler

Newt Gingrich was on fire at CPAC this afternoon, proving once again that the former House Speaker is political Teflon.

Apparently recovered after his epic meltdown in Nevada, Gingrich revved up the crowd at CPAC with an impassioned version of his stump speech that hit all the conservative high notes (Obamacare, taxes, war on religion, et. al.) In short, Gingrich managed to give the audience the "red meat" that his main rival Mitt Romney failed to deliver earlier this afternoon.

To damn bad he wasn’t America’s first black president. Instead they pick a hipster dufus that has no clue about sovereignty and peoples rights.

How strange, that people don’t trust him to carry his agenda out. He succeeded in passing almost all of the contract with America, and he did bring every single point to floor of congress as he promised he would. Unlike most policitians, Newt did keep his word!

“knocked out by Texas”

That would be true in a normal “Super Tuesday” election cycle, but not this one. Who knows when the Texas primary will be? (I am pretty darn cranky about it.)

I actually liked the music....different and sort of drum beating....tasteful IMO and perfect for the moment.

The media is doing all it can to keep Newt out of the limelight.......they are at war with Newt, not just in Romney's pocket.

We have just got to get Newt into this Presidency....I am hoping Americans will see thru this whole facade they're being fed and do the right thing....it's the last opportunity ever to save our country from the obamanites and those who will follow him.

Very well stated. Newt is my guy, but I do not disparage
Santorum. I like them both and I think they would make for a good conservative ticket. Every single one of these candidates have flaws. Such is the human condition.

"I guess according to the Newt supporters the sun don't rise in the east unless Newt says it rises in the east.. "

Who would you want telling you where the sun rises, the radical Left and their lackeys, the state owned media, or Newt?

Satriani is a very ‘tasteful’ guitarist, composer, performer, producer. Check out Black Swans.

>> it’s the last opportunity ever to save our country

If we lose this round, it’ll only make the hurt worse for the other side.

Thanks...I’ll check Black Swans.

That’s true...we loose the other side will hurt worse...but it’ll be something we will all suffer if Romney or Obama get this election.

Sometimes I think Obama is settting up Romney to win....let the Republicans pick up the mess and cary it awhile so they can come back in and finish the job....the most Romney will do is hide what he’s relly doing. The guy can’t have a single thought of his own without checking his brain with the higher ups. Any who vote for Romney are voting for those they don’t even know to run this country.

You don’t really understand Newt do you? Your comment is better suited to the “present” administration.

No, Newt plans on repealing it on day one... but the republicans already had lifted 300 pages from the hillary obamacare, which had to do with the establishment of HIPPA, which deals with many medical privacy issues, and has gotten mixed reviews. So that is already out there, and not in the current obama bill, at least that is my understanding.

One of romney’s advisors, however, has said point-blank that it will be impossible to repeal obamacare in its entirety, and only piecemeal repeal will be possible... with the bad portions as the targets... but who decides what bad is not quite clear..

*snip* and for a few moments it looked as though he was going to run back his horrible Las Vegas press conference
*************************

I’ve noticed mention of this in a few articles today. I think one called it a meltdown.

Anyhow, I keep kicking that around. What was so horrible about it? I mean really?

The press asked questions, he answered—if it was horrible then it was in part the press that was horrible, too.

If it was because Gingrich called the press conference, calling it made sense to me. Once I realized Newt wasn’t throwing in the towel.

I thought it a bit of a tweak on the media. If you don’t have the money that team Romney has, why not promote yourself?

Trump snapped his fingers and the press came running for the Romney promotional circus.

Unfortunately Santorum has a serious flaw; he is dishonest.

http://www.eastidahonews.com/2012/01/santorum-hits-gingrich-romney-to-kick-off-florida-swing/

““You look at someone who was speaker of the House, and again, these are friends, I know they are good people, but when Newt was speaker of the House, well, within three years the conservatives within the House of Representatives tried to throw him out, and in the fourth year they did. Why? Because he wasn’t governing as a conservative,” Santorum said. “He didn’t live up to all the hype.”

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Gingrich became Speaker of the House and the Democrats went nuts! He moved to put cuts in the budget, which meant less pork and earmarks for constituents. For the first time in a very long time the Republicans actually had to govern and take responsibility.

The 1998 budget was scheduled for a $1 Billion cut and congress saw the gravy train leaving the station. No more getting rich at the public’s expense.

So it became “get rid of Newt Gingrich” even to the extent of manufacturing lies about him. Those phony ethics charges that were ALL dropped, but the media continues to smear him year after year after year. As does Rick Santorum.

The worst part of it is that Gingrich mentored Santorum when he first arrived in Washington as a new Representative. Rick stabbed Gingrich in the back. He was part of the coup.

“We were the ones standing up and fighting,” Santorum said. “I was the go-to guy.”

Senator Lindsy Graham said that is a lie, that Satntorum was never central to the coup. He is trying to take credit for something he never did.

Newt is down to like 16 percent. Jeb will be the nominee.

Can someone please explain to Krankor what the feeling of true conservatives is about another Bush in the White House instead of Gingrich, Palin, or Santorum?

Or perhaps he would like to "revise and extend" his remarks?

Cheers!
