Fresh off primary victories in three states, presidential candidate Rick Santorum demonstrated his strong support for the individual right to keep and bear arms by visiting H&H Shooting Sports Complex in Oklahoma City en route to a rally today.
H&H is a NSSF Five Star member range owned by Miles and Jayne Hall.
The Santorum rally originally was scheduled to be held at H&H, but a surge of requests to attend the event forced a change to the Magnuson Hotel and Convention Center, where a crowd estimated at close to 2,000 gathered. The candidate delivered a speech that focused largely on energy, reported News On 6.
During his pre-rally visit at H&H, Santorum said, I wish we could have had it here, this would have been perfect.
He added, I am very impressed. It is easy to see why gun ownership is so strong here, and I stand tall with the Second Amendment.
Said Miles Hall, founder and president of H&H, It was a great honor to show a small but important part of the shooting industry to one of our presidential hopefuls.
There I go again? it is a fact. Santorum did vote for taxpayer funded anti gun education in schools. Do you deny that?
As for Newt...
http://www.newt.org/solutions/second-amendment
Newt is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, and speaks regularly at the NRAs Annual Meeting. He received an A or A-plus rating from the NRA all ten terms that he served in the House of Representatives, and received the NRAs Defender of the Second Amendment award in 2010.
you are not posting his voting record from when he was in DC but posting his campaign site....big difference. I posted his ACTUAL record which you may check out..not what he says he will do but what he did!
I went to the OkC rally...was an EXCELLENT speech and great message...LIFE and the means to protect it are the most important issues. You get those two right and everything else falls into place.
No, it's a twisted interpretation of a fact.
He (Newt) received an A or A-plus rating from the NRA all ten terms that he served in the House of Representatives, and received the NRAs Defender of the Second Amendment award in 2010.
And that compares with Santorum's A+ how?
Go away.
No.. that came from ontheissues.org... not tied to anyone`s campaign.
I thought you'd like to know that. Lie down with dogs, katiedidit1, and you get up with fleas.
From a fundamental standpoint, neither would I. But, I am a realist. You know as well as I do, the disaster that a nomination of Santorum would mean. The MSM would rip him into confetti sized chunks, and you know it. On top of that, the USA is not the same thing anymore. The voters are no longer predictably conservative.
Here is the actual voting record. Yes, it is a fact that Santorum voted for anti-gun education in public schools. I am not backing down from the truth.
Santorum voted for taxpayer funded anti-gun education in the public schools. Even rino McCain voted Nay as did Thompson of TN and Inhofe of Oklahoma.

The candidate I support is Newt and he is very pro Israel. I sent you actual legislation regarding Santorum’s vote..deny away the truth will either burn you or set you free. Santorum has been given a free pass by the media and the other candidates..let the vetting begin. GO NEWT
The glasses on Rick ? Smarter than what most people give him credit for ? a closet brainiac ? let people mock him and think he’s not to bright at their own peril.... he sure surprised many last Tuesday..
Facts on Santorum are...The National Rifle Association’s threat to punish senators who vote for Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor has been met with a shrug by Democrats from conservative-leaning states and some Republicans who are breaking with their party to support her. The gun-rights group is used to getting its way by spooking lawmakers about the political consequences of defying its wishes. But it never before has weighed in on a Supreme Court confirmation battle. It was cautious about breaking that pattern, and it looks like a losing fight to defeat President Barack Obama’s first pick for the court.
Santorum also voted for Sonia Sotomayer to serve as US Circuit Court Judge, 2nd circuit during the Clinton presidency..even McCain voted nay! this woman now serves on the SCOTUS! and is NO friend of the NRA or 2nd ammendment rights.
Also check out Project Vote Smart! http://www.votesmart.org/bill/3638/8726/27054/gun-show-sale-regulation-amendment
Santorum supported the extremist judge..Sonia Sotomayer for circuit court during the Clinton presidency. She is a nightmare when it comes to upholding the constitution and now serves on our Supreme Court. Look, Santorum has not been vetted yet..wait until all the facts come out on him..from his anti controlling illegal votes to his endorsement of Spector and the consequences we are dealing with today such as Obamacare. They needed 60 votes to get it passed and Spector was that 60th vote. Lots of damage done..no thanks to Santorum.
Sonia Sotomayer ? what does Rick have to do with her being on the Supreme Court ? he was not even in the Senate when the confirmation came up for her to be on the Supreme court.. you are grasping at straws....
You are evading the FACT that while Little Ricky was in DC ..he voted to nominate her to the circuit court during the Clinton era...opened doors for her..didnt it? she got her foot in the door and Obama loved it. She is no friend of the NRA! so why did Santorum support her? she has done damage on the circuit court and now the supreme court. No, you are ignoring his record because you view him as some religious, constitutionalist. He is not. He even endorsed rino Romney for gov of Mass.
Newt’s not a liberal. Only a totally ignorant nutjob would fall for that.
He said it’s right-wing social engineering because the right-wing was trying to force people in Medicare to make a change and Newt said it has to be optional or the public would reject it as too radical.
He didn’t say the era of Reagan is over. What he did say is we need new policies for a new Republican campaign because many of the issues from the Reagan era like the Soviet expansion have changed.
Every good Republican supports RINOs in liberal districts because it’s better than putting up a conservative and having them lose to a liberal. The Tea Party guy didn’t win that race, did he?
Conservatives ARE environmentalists. We’re not for dirty air and dirty water.
No one cares about global warming. Even Obama and Pelosi’s congress couldn’t pass cap and trade. The issue is deader than the dodo. Newt said recently that he doesn’t believe in global warming.
