[I'd have no problems voting for either him or Newt.]
From a fundamental standpoint, neither would I. But, I am a realist. You know as well as I do, the disaster that a nomination of Santorum would mean. The MSM would rip him into confetti sized chunks, and you know it. On top of that, the USA is not the same thing anymore. The voters are no longer predictably conservative.

I disagree with this assertion. What would they rip him on? If it's his stance on issues, then lets have this debate!! The main problem I have with Newt is that they would rip him, but not on the issues. On his mess of a personal life. That would be the story from the opposition. I want the story to be about the issues. I still believe most of America is still more conservative than not. His only problem right now is money and that won't be a problem once he gets the nomination. He'll have the cash pouring in and the Romney supporters will not have felt alienated by his campaign since he never went personal on Mittens. He can unite the party.
