Fresh off primary victories in three states, presidential candidate Rick Santorum demonstrated his strong support for the individual right to keep and bear arms by visiting H&H Shooting Sports Complex in Oklahoma City en route to a rally today.
H&H is a NSSF Five Star member range owned by Miles and Jayne Hall.
The Santorum rally originally was scheduled to be held at H&H, but a surge of requests to attend the event forced a change to the Magnuson Hotel and Convention Center, where a crowd estimated at close to 2,000 gathered. The candidate delivered a speech that focused largely on energy, reported News On 6.
During his pre-rally visit at H&H, Santorum said, I wish we could have had it here, this would have been perfect.
He added, I am very impressed. It is easy to see why gun ownership is so strong here, and I stand tall with the Second Amendment.
Said Miles Hall, founder and president of H&H, It was a great honor to show a small but important part of the shooting industry to one of our presidential hopefuls.
Well said.
Liberals always pretend that they are for gun rights by
Im prepared to hope now, that Gingrich climbs aboard the Santorum express. A solid, in-Mitts face Gingrich endorsement of Santorum (along perhaps with a concurrent endorsement by Palin) might just knock Romney out of this thing.
It could be that this scenario arises after the next couple contests. We’ll see. Everyone wanted that righteous anger of Newt’s at the debate but his anger has a bitchy, whiny side that voters do not like as much. It’s too easy to make him feel crazy insecure.
Santorum at least looks a lot more comfortable in hunting gear than John “Where..Kin..Ah..Git..Me..A..Huntin’..License” Kerry.
I love your poster! Cute photo of him hunting.
I am the first person I’ve seen in SoCal with a Santorum 2012 bumpersticker!
I would rather have a candidate that used guns for more than campaign photo-ops.

I’m sure there is an old pic, somewhere, of Newt with a gun robbing a convenience store.
(j/k)
Open, concealed, as long as he’s on board with the concept.
You have to admit though, a candidate standing on stage with a well tooled leather holster peeking out from under his/her suit coat would solidify a lot of support amongst gun nuts like myself.
Blaze orange and a brand new trap gun don’t impress me. Blued steel with shiny spots on the high points and a well broken in holster? Now that would impress me.
Had a brain fart. Sorry.
Rick first...Newt a distant second and Mitt...well....if it comes down to it if you can vote for that idiot McCain you can vote for anybody.
Oh, I'm pretty sure he is: Santorum GOA Survey Response
And the Lemmings stampede from one cliff to another, as the wind changes direction, once again. (This primary season is an utter disaster. Even worse than 2008.)
The Santorum hunting picture on this thread was from a hunt with Rep. Steve King in Iowa.
Considering (as I understand it) all the conflicting regulations from one jurisdiction to the next, I know I would be extremely careful before taking a gun on a significant trip.
Not sure who your source is, but here’s mine: http://www.ontheissues.org/Rick_Santorum.htm

NOTE: A SENATOR MAY MOVE TO TABLE ANY PENDING LEGISLATION, THUS HALTING FURTHER CONSIDERATION. A "YEA" VOTE IS IN SUPPORT OF HALTING FURTHER CONSIDERATION, AND A "NAY" VOTE IS IN SUPPORT OF FURTHER CONSIDERATION. TABLING MOTIONS ARE OFTEN USED TO KILL LEGISLATION.
Gosh. Is that why Rick voted Yeah on this? To table it?
Nice try Reverend, but those of us who have spent a lifetime feeding our families on wild game, see through this circus act.
There you go again. At least by now most FReepers know how enthusiastically you misrepresent your assertions.
Good answers. I can’t see either Willard or Newt answering the same way...
They are cheap until you look at NRA ratings. What was Lurches rating? What was Ricks? I live in PA and he was a great 2nd amendment Senator. Just come out and say you hate Rick and be done with it instead of feigning phoney outrage over Rick hunting in new gear. Gear that was borrowed while he was out of state hunting in IA.
Do you know what reciprocity there is in the states Rick traveled through to get to IA to campaign? Would you travel through a state with laws like MA to hunt in Maine if you didn’t have to?
Sounds like an excellent opportunity to give it a try anyway and turn it into an activism opportunity...
As is, it looks contrived and plastic.
Might not have been, it’s just how it looks.
I'd have no problems voting for either him or Newt.
