I however do not understand the need to own an assault rifle for private use, with ammunition that will penetrate body armor. One the second amendment says nothing about what type of weapons you own. Secondly, it is none of the cops business if you are carrying or not. Do they actually think criminals are going to say, "Hey, pig, I have a gun"? Even CA doesn't require that you reveal you are armed at the time of a stop. I realize some states do require it, but I think such laws are as unconstitutional as requiring a permit to carry concealed.
