Thanks very much, Ladies, for honoring this magnificent American Hero!

*HUGS*

Most timely as well.

"Boykin has cast America’s war against radical Islamic terrorists as fighting Satan. So his religious language has made strange bedfellows of various Islamic groups joining with atheists to call on West Point to disinvite this American hero who risked and achieved so much for this country. Evidently it’s not politically correct to suggest that blowing up children is the devil’s work."

He is 100% correct and the politically correct bureaucrats who worked against his presentation should be summarily relieved from duty, stripped of rank and discharged under "other than honorable" conditions.

He withdrew out of concern for causing "detriment" to the Cadets. Far greater detriment has been done to the Corps of Cadets by the "politically correct", cowardly and unjustifiable decision to prevent his address. The enemies of our Nation are rejoicing at yet another unforced retreat by our government in the face of their strident, inflammatory and mendacious propaganda.

The lines of Battle are drawn - now those of us who say we stand for the United States of America need to speak up and be heard.

Consider The Source

February 6, 2012

I love cinnamon. I love cinnamon rolls, cinnamon graham crackers, cinnamon candies, cinnamon toast, cinnamon apples, and cinnamon pretzels. Cinnamon is one of those spices that makes other things taste better. However, it never crossed my mind to think about where cinnamon comes from. Then, on a recent trip to Sri Lanka, I learned that 90 percent of all the cinnamon in the world comes from that island nation located in the Indian Ocean. For all of the cinnamon I’ve enjoyed over the years, I never stopped to consider its source.

Sadly, my walk with Christ is sometimes like that. God has blessed me with a wonderful wife, five children, and grandchildren who are more fun than a barrel of monkeys. In the midst of my enjoyment of them, however, I sometimes fail to consider the source of those blessings—what the hymnwriter called the “fount of every blessing.” James put it like this: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (1:17).

How ungrateful we would be to enjoy the rich blessings of life without thanking the Father who is the source of all of creation.

Dear Lord, from whom all blessings flow,
Most precious gifts dost Thou bestow;
So truly faithful may I be
As Thou art gracious unto me. —Roworth

Gratitude is a God-honoring attitude.

Read: James 1:12-18

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights. —James 1:17

Thank you for the bio on Gen Boykin. A HERO in many aspects.

Proud to call him my Brother in Christ.

God has blessed us with freedom, liberty, and men like General Boykin to lead and encourage us. But because of our wicked ways, He is also chastising us with wicked rulers, like 0bama, to humble us and see if we will still seek His face and cry out to Him to heal our land...

...if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. - 2 Chronicles 7:14
