Here is complete video of a combative Newt Gingrich holding a Press Conference tonight after finishing a distant second or third (still unclear) in the Nevada GOP Caucuses. Gingrich said he is going to stay in the GOP Presidential Race until the end all the way to the Convention in August. He predicted he will be back as the frontrunner by the time of the Texas Primary (April 3), and plans to focus on March 6 Super Tuesday states in the weeks ahead.
Gingrich slammed Mitt Romney over and over again, calling him fundamentally dishonest, and saying he has been shocked at how negative and dishonest Romneys Campaign against him has been....
Video at link.
“Newt, MAKE THIS ELECTION ABOUT THE SUPREME COURT APPOINTMENTS COMING UP IN THE NEXT PRESIDENTS TERM.”
Many people that say they will stay home and not vote against Obama may not realize that THE biggest factor of their future lives and those of their children will be when the Supreme Court is packed with Liberals by Obama when he is in his second term.
I’ve never listened to a Newt speech where he didn’t teach me something.
my exclusive sources are Internet sites that I have carefully screened for fairness and objectivity.
Will you please share the sites you visit for rational news?
Thank you in advance.
Just finished listening...
No notes, no teleprompter, no coaching, nor any pre-drafted talking points. He spoke intelligently and to the point.
Newt was in charge, even “cracked” a joke (”Did you miss me?”), and smiled appropriately.
GO NEWT!!
Newt made a statement at the beginning of his PRESS Conference, (which I think is a great idea for multiple reasons),about his intention to stay in and WHY, and then the PRESS continued to ask about Romney.
Good grief folks, Newt’s only mistake was in not telling the press that he was no longer going to answer questions about Romney. Then until they get it, (and it will take a LONG time, because they do NOT want to talk about 0) he needs to pointedly moving it back to 0.
And for what it is worth, I don’t see Newt referencing Romney’s comment on the poor as being petty. It’s called holding Romney accountable for his own statement, and anyone who was groaning was groaning because Romney was their guy!!
Listen, and THINK for yourselves!
May God grant us strength.

Go Newt Go! Win!
thanks for posting...
@ Post 49
It’s real simple. The media controls the microphone. The excerpt 5, 10, or 20 seconds of any remarks Gingrich makes. They don’t show his zingers against Obama. They don’t show his optimism and ideas.
They take the blurb where he whines about Romney and that is all 90% plus of Americans will hear. That is my point. Few Americans follow politics like FReepers. The media controls the storyline. Right now, the storyline is a nasty fight between Newt and Romney. They point out to their viewers that Romney has the upper hand and is inevitable. They point out that Newt is in second place. Newt is doing exactly what they want him to do....
They show a blurb of confident Romney. They show a blurb of nasty Newt. It’s their game and Newt is playing it to his detriment.
People can get mad at me or what I wrote all they want. I wish Santorum would drop out and endorse Newt because the media is picking our candidate (again) and getting away with it. I am just as frustrated as everyone else.
“”Will you please share the sites you visit for rational news?””
Sheepish smile - I am pretty sure we are right in the middle of it :}
May God bless FRiends,
Tatt
I don’t know what you watched, but neither my DH nor I heard ANY whining. We discerned NO petulance. NO nastiness.
Newt was EXTREMELY laid back and even good humored.
Now, it IS clearly being spun as such by the opposition to sway the non thinking populace.
So which camp do you fall into - unthinking or the opposition?
May God grant us strength.
Tatt
THIS, too, is where I go for news, commentary, and links...
Thank YOU!! :-)
What? Where does the “anti Christian” thing come from?
I fall into the wants Newt at all costs camp and sent money. I fall into the camp that wants Romney defeated by a huge margin so we can mount an effective campaign to remove Obama from office.
Watch CBS, ABC, and NBC news coverage and get back to me if you think I wrote anything that is not true. Read the so-called MSM in print and get back to me.
I understand the frustration. Newt is getting it from every corner - including the so called conservative media. I believe Newt is fighting a battle on their terms that he won’t win.
The problem with FR lately is that anyone who does not follow the group think is called “opposition or unthinking”. Anything that does not fit the group think is not bad. Conservatism is based on reason and logic. Read my posts, I can think just fine thank you and I don’t oppose anything other than Romney and Obama. I am sharing my opinion and engaging in debate and that is the purpose of this forum.
I bet less than 5% of the electorate watched the entire speech by Newt and I don’t disagree with your assessment of it. I watched it and liked it. I also scrutinized the MSM coverage of it and the media bias was not even subtle. That is my point.
We both want the same thing FRiend. I want Newt to demolish the boy king just as much as you.
Well, while I do appreciate, and am glad for the clarification, my point stands.
You described Newt in your post with the language of the opposition, and when people come onto FR, the premiere conservative website on the web, and read grassroots “conservatives” weighing in on Newt with words like whiny and nasty it serves ONLY the opposition.
It repeats and expands upon the meme of the NewLeft, (my term for anyone who desires only to remain in power regardless of party), and in no way advances the conservative cause.
It is my hope that you are sincere in your wish for Newt to prevail, and that not only will you continue to support him in deed, but that you also will choose carefully the words you use to describe him and how you voice your concerns and frustrations with the spin that we all are battling.
FRegards,
Tatt
May God grant each of us the strength we will need to win this battle.
Gingrich is fighting Romney's money, the Republican establishment, and media enmity and he is doing so while financially embarrassed. He has little choice but to fight back when and where he can and of course whenever he does so the Charles Krauthammer's of the world cluck their tongues over negativity and meanness of spirit.
The point is that Gingrich is damned if he does and damned if he does not. Ultimately, the odds tell us that money is still the mother's milk of politics and Gingrich will eventually succumb to the forces of money and power arrayed against him.
If anyone can break out of this trap Gingrich can but it is unlikely.
One last word that most of us will not want to hear: the triumph of money over people, at least conservative people, means that we are fighting against the demographic headwind that soon will become a hurricane. Conservative "ideas" that Gingrich and you and I love are admired by the electorate in the abstract but avoided at all costs in the polling booths if they actually threaten rice bowl or purse. We blame Rino politicians and the media for the failure of our better conservative virtues to sweep the field but we are really battling human nature. We hear pundits like Rush Limbaugh tell us that conservatism is the majority American view but we actually vote our perceived self interests.
It takes a rare combination of the man of destiny and times such as occurred in 1980 and in 1994 to succeed in a counter culture election.
BTTT for your excellent observation good sir.
May God guide our course.

Not to be picky, but that's not particularly correct. Newt's had a tough negative campaign against him, but it's only gone on for a little over a month. No biggy, just thought I'd chime in, Palin had it worse for a far longer time.
More to the point though, I watched this entire Gregory interview and thought Newt did quite well. I saw a lot of substantive positioning, good comebacks against a combative MSM interviewer, very little whining, other than on the part of David Gregory, Romney Obama shill.........
RE: your “thanks”
My pleasure.
Vin
In talking about intensity - it is above what Palin went through. But no, it has not gone on as long for sure.
