Newt Gingrich will stay in the Republican presidential nomination contest despite an expected loss to Mitt Romney in Saturdays Nevada caucuses, the former speaker told The Washington Times late Saturday afternoon.
We had excellent fundraising meetings and calls yesterday, Mr. Gingrich said. Super Tuesday and beyond look good.
The Georgia native thus dispelled rumors circulating in the press that his campaign had scheduled a press conference for late Saturday, after the results were in from the Nevada caucuses.
We will probably be a solid second here with [Rick] Santorum in last place, Mr. Gingrich said, while acknowledging indirectly that attracting donors and voters in sufficient force to overtake Mr. Romney will be a challenge in the coming weeks.

Christie would bring nothing to a Romney candidacy IF he wants to win. Two white, northeastern, moderate, male governors? And neither with one moment’s experience in Washington? No way that’s going to happen.
It would be SO nice if “those that get shot” would Feel a little of the pain! LOL
“I spotted it.”
If you spotted it, take your anti-psychotic pill.
True. Have you heard anything on they plan to play that because it's a huge voting bloc.
Yes, I noticed that too.
Mineral County back up again and red for Newt (won by 2 votes).
“It would be SO nice if those that get shot would Feel a little of the pain!”
I think it’s mental - our mental concentration of condemnation is so high when we use the Nerf gun, they feel the pain of our condemnation.
Now, I’ll take my own anti-psychotic pill.
He didn’t expect to win Nevada. He said on Greta he was hoping to make a decent showing at 2nd. He also said that Ron Paul always does well in caucus states.
Why should these results, which were fully expected, even trigger a rumor that he is dropping out.
I’m watching Newt’s news conference I think he’s somewhat melting down.
If these results hold, Romney is performing well below expectations. In 2008 he got 51% and that is where he was polling as well.
“Now, Ill take my own anti-psychotic pill.”

I see your point but he’s also making some really good arguments, and coming across strong. The downside is when he gets whiny and bitchy as that just turns people off.
?? Explain please.
Wot? We must be watching different Newt conferences. Cuz' the one I'm watching shows
I don't think so at all.
He's gotten nothing but about fifteen negative questions in a row and has handled them quite well.
His voice is obviously weary from the many campaign speeches, but he's hitting all the key points while the media totally ignores his answers and moves on to the next "gotcha" question.
FNC goes on the attack!
You can certainly visit a mormon church if you're non-mormon...they will pick you up, they will drag you there, lol...that's the point Converts, converts, converts, the mormon cult eats, breathes and sleeps converts.
The individual churches are wards, a group of wards comprises a stake. Once a church gets large, they always have a services area, reception area, and classrooms...and then they try to add lots of multipurpose rooms and a basketball court...anything to bring neighborhood kids in, and give mormon kids a place to play where they associate with other mormon kids and any gentile friends they bring along, they are playing under supervision the whole time. The bishop will always announce to one man and one woman that they have a "calling" to be active in boy and girl scouts, again as gentiles look for local scouting their kids play with mormon kids, and the outreach begins. Mormons will drop by the house, invite you to church dinners, and everything has a worship service attached. When I was in Scouts they had a youth program for older mormon teens, and the scouts would be encouraged to join in. Lately I've heard of a lot of mormon women that if they can't find a mormon man, they're willing to date a single parent father, because it's so much easier to indoctrinate the child, and the father follows, if he doesn't want to fight a brainwashed child in a custody battle. Just my word for it, but I've seen it several times. Anyway...
Mormons are all kinds of people. Every one a person caught in a weak or needy phase of life where the unconditional acceptance of an isolated group became important, and then they had to learn how to accept a different view of people outside their isolated group. When you shake hands with a mormon, you're shaking hands with a nice guy who has a queer religion. When he shakes hands with you, he's a potential god who could get closer to his temple recommend if he gives this potential convert the right impression. Much like a politician, but a politician that believes the electorate are, basically, damned. So, that's where the saccharine is...they think the nice exteruor is a honey trap to someone who might down the road go lds...but it comes off as strange or fake, because the person being so sweet is the final repositor of mormon celestial truth looking at a dung beetle. But they want to give the dung beetle the right impression. So to speak.
(ex-mormon, born into the cult)
That wouldn’t work. This is exactly the kind of attack that has failed against Romney. People who won’t vote for Romney because of positions he has taken are not the people Newt needs to reach. You see Romney taking a position that is a deal-breaker for you. Romney supporters see a moderate Republican who will be electable in the general election. You see a position that Romney has flip-flopped on. Romney supporters see a candidate who is too slick and clever to be pinned down.
Romney supporters don’t care what he says. They only care about how he looks when he says it. They have been duped into believing that Romney looks presidential so therefore he is electable. Ann Coulter is the perfect example of what a Romney supporter actually looks like. She knows all the positions he’s taken. She doesn’t care. But if his “electability” died by 1000 gaffes, she would abandon him. She probably wouldn’t go to Santorum because of that whole Google thing. The last thing she wants is to be laughed at by all her liberal friends at the cocktail parties.
The only thing that will take these supporters away from Romney is if the perception of electability is altered. He needs to be ridiculed until broken. The image of Romney as a stuttering, shifty buffoon needs to be burned in.
If Newt had sounded like this in those last 2 debates, calling Romney out for his dishonesty, he would have won Florida. Romney is an unethical, liberal slimeball.
Newt!
