As Mitt Romney solidifies his frontrunner status with a double-digit win this week in the Florida Republican primary, Mormons are embracing a unique moment in their political history that has been dubbed the Mormon moment but not without concerns about what the increasing prominence could mean for their community.
In extensive interviews with 10 members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who live and work in the D.C.-area, POLITICO discovered a close-knit community that is enjoying, granted with some reservations, the national spotlight that Romneys second White House bid is helping to shine on Mormons across the country.
Last month, the Pew Research Center released a 125-page report titled Mormons in America that surveyed over 1,000 members of the LDS Church. According to the poll, the majority of Mormons across the country, 63 percent, said they believe acceptance of their religion is on the rise.

Helaman 14:12
12 And also that ye might know of the coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and of earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and that ye might know of the signs of his coming, to the intent that ye might believe on his name.
1 And then the Lord said: Let us go down. And they went down at the beginning, and they, that is the Gods, organized and formed the heavens and the earth.
2 And the earth, after it was formed, was empty and desolate, because they had not formed anything but the earth; and darkness reigned upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of the Gods was brooding upon the face of the waters.
3 And they (the Gods) said: Let there be light; and there was light.
Does the lds believe that Jesus created EVERYTHING out of NOTHING?
Yes or no?
Do they believe He created the angels?
Yes or no?
What say you, did you really not know ?
So, it looks like the lds does NOT believe that Jesus created EVERYTHING out of NOTHING.
"We were begotten by our Father in Heaven; the person of our Father in Heaven was begotten on a previous heavenly world by His Father; and again, He was begotten by a still more ancient Father; and so on, from generation to generation, ... we wonder in our minds, how far back the genealogy extends, and how the first world was formed, and the first father was begotten" (Orson Pratt, The Seer, p.132).In the beginning, the head of the Gods called a council of the Gods; and they came together and concocted a plan to create the world and people it. (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 5, 1844)
In the very beginning the Bible shows there is a plurality of Gods beyond the power of refutation. It is a great subject I am dwelling on. The word Eloheim ought to be in the plural all the way through--Gods. The heads of the Gods appointed ONE God for us... (Joseph Smith, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 372)
I am fully aware of that. It was a typo.
Mosiah 3:8
8 And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and his mother shall be called Mary.
I sent you a Freepmail.
So Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were liars when they said men had to take multiple wives to enter heaven? Wonder what else they were not so prophetic about?
I understand you could be surprised or confused, Pancho if you didn't really know this. I'm here to talk and help you if you need it. PM me. There are MANY, MANY other shocking thing your leaders have kept secret from you.
you’re a funny guy, Sentinel
nobody’s keeping secrets from me, I read the texts myself, and, most importantly, I feel the peaceful influence of the Holy Ghost. No one can refute that.
I was just reading Romney's gyneology and he is decended from the Pratts.
Hello. COuld you please answer these questions for me?
(1) Does the lds believe that Jesus created EVERYTHING out of NOTHING?
Yes or no?
(2) Do they believe He created the angels?
Yes or no?
.
.
.
Could you answer those, please?
Also, do you believe the Joseph Smith translation of the bible to be a fraud as Brigham Young taught ? Have you ever seen one or read it ?
Um, if we put you on a red ant hill then clean the ants from your hide and pour soothing aloe on your skin, would you believe it is the holy spirit soothing you, or would you recognize that it is the lack of assault which you interpret as ‘soothing’. You’re not funny. Promoting the blasphemous religion of MormonISM is not humorous. You serve the spirit of antiChrist when pushing the lies and double talk of Joe Smith’s demonically inspired religion.
Yes yes we know, that is very apparent given the theology and all the confused versions of it...
So, shill, tell us how it is that Joey Smith was quoting from the 500BC Book of Isaiah in the BM, yet he quoted the name 'Lucifer' in the text? Just to help you along, Lucifer is derived from Latin, a language which didn't even exist when the 500BC text Smith claimed quoted in the BM was written. And oh yeah, the name didn't find its way into the Bible translations until the translation from Greek to Latin done by a Catholic scholar/priest.
Try to not pretend to be scholarly when you're so lacking in details. Your shilling for LDS inc and Milt Rominy will seem more credible.
