In a new national radio ad released Wednesday, Rick Santorum lambasted Newt Gingrich over the former House speaker's declining poll numbers and second place finish in Florida's primary.
"Despite spending millions, Newt Gingrich went from a big lead to a big defeat. Why? Because voters discovered Gingrich wasn't a true conservative," the narrator says in the ad.

Rather than getting in the Republican fray Newt should start putting out excellent ads against Obama. This would not only be beneficial in taking down Obama but would cause him to raise to the top of the pack because it will say that it is he that is Obama’s true foe. This would therefore say that it is he that is naturally the right Republican candidate. It could cause him to raise to the top like cream.
Look at their records. THERE IS A MAJOR DIFFERENCE.
Santorum idiots are rooting for a loser. A man that cant even win his own state. Never heard anyone say Cain was in to help Romney. Verdict is still out on Bachmann and Little Ricky ...the lowest polling numbers of the bunch
You have to be kidding me. This is beyond anything I have ever seen. Romney is tattletaling to the voters that Newt didn’t call him. Santorum is bypassing Romney regarding being outspent and points the finger at Gingrich. Media wants to talk about Newts anger. Think they are a little worried?
Newt does best when he is running against hussein obama. He needs to focus on how he would govern as president, stay out of mitt’s pig pen Newt.
For somebody with so little to offer he sure pushes your buttons...
Only if you ignore two facts (among many others):
1. Gingrich truly believes in the principles of liberty in our Constitution
2. Romney was very likely influenced by his father’s admiration for Saul Alinsky.
That sounds like someone satisfied with how the race is going.

I have been waiting to say this for a long time. Thanks. Gingrich got a thumpin’ on all the key demographics in the FL primary and lost the female vote by 20-points. FL is a must win in the general. Much as I’d have hoped that Gingrich would be the republican nominee, the odds now are non-existent of this occurring. Santorum is telegenic, has far less baggage than Gingrich, is a fiscal and social conservative, has blue-collar roots, is best suited to win over the Reagan Democrats, will capture a large part of the female vote based on family etc, and as favorite son, PA will fall into the red column. For sure he will not get the vote of the gays, lesbians, Planned Parenthood, Hollywood, public unions, socialists, Marxists, and rabid secularists. That vote will go to Obama.
Well Santorum just revealed he wants to take over Newts 2ND PLACE position or he would have gone after Romney
I had some hope for him but no more
Santorum knows it’s between him and Newt. One has to bow out to challenge Romney.
Only on bingo night at the nursing home!
Greta: Is the Florida Primary NOT OVER?????
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus warned Florida Republican Party Chairman Lenny Curry of the violation in a December letter quoting the rule,
winner-take-all states cannot hold a primary or caucus before April 1, 2012.
No matter how I look at it I see Rick Santorum’s ad saying “Romney’s Conservatism is why he’s on top”. That’s the message I see he’s trying to send. I wonder who paid for that ad.
Not really, he actually just a pathetic whiner candidate on stage. His staying in is almost going to assure that Mitt will get the nod. Rick knows it and could not care less, unless he wants the VP slot with Mitt.
Bull crap. Little Ricky is a big government social conservative which makes him the same as the dems - just with a moral compass that is not completely broke.
So what you're saying is that Santorum is the true power broker, the king maker, the eminence gris of this primary?
If that's true, why would you support somebody who can be so easily be made or broken by a single individual?
“Rick knows he cannot win. He also knows that Romney will need a Sarah Palin on the ticket with him in order to get the conservative vote. Rick’s sacrificing a possible conservative Presidency for a liberal Presidency with him as the VP.”
I am suporting Newt, but I like Rick. I sure hope what you wrote is wrong...not saying it is....just hoping it is. That kind of sell out is too much to bear.
Also, you are right. Rick is NOT a Sarah.
