Regardless of my disdain for Little Dick Morris, I must admit he seems to hit the nail on the head from time to time. (Sure, his use of "generally accurate" is arguable.)

Morris is a weasel. If he told me it was light outside at noon, I'd go outside and look just to be sure.

He is somewhat right, but somewhat wrong.
Newt is not his best when he’s positive. He’s his best when he goes negative against LIBERALS.
Also, Morris missed that Newt’s PAC ran half positive and half negative ads and that there were 65 TV ads against Newt for every 1 Newt ran in Florida.
In other words, it didn’t matter what Newt ran. 65 to 1 is over wheeling regardless of content .
See American Thinker tomorrow am for what happened to Newt.
To: newgeezer
no this is not right...mean mitt ran negative ads against god’s other son newt and lied on that great human being and the stupid idiots in florida ate it up....thats what happened!!!!

I think Newt suckered Romney. Romney spent 20 million, and drove his negatives through the roof. Time will tell.
To: newgeezer
Romney, less compelling but more consistent, doesnt need stellar debate performances or bold vision to win.

Romney has been fooling democrats to vote for him for years..
Currently he is fooling republican women..
His “niceness” is an act.. but he does have Presidential Hair..
The women in Florida are evidentially ditzes..

This isn’t newts first rodeo. He knows there is a long road ahead for Romney, geesh just one day later he is being eaten alive with the comment about the poor. Just the tip of te iceberg.

Newt suffers blowback from negative ads but Romney doesn't? Disagree with that, but I do agree Newt does need to be more like Romney in his personal encounters: pretend to be nice in public, but play smash mouth in the ads. Romney is excellent as coming off as Ward Cleaver, meanwhile his buddies are stealing the tires off your car while it sits in the garage.

Romney's attacks should be COUNTERED, NOT ANSWERED.
Show Romney to be the liar he is, THEN it's safe to get your message through.
Morris paints the picture well enough, but he doesn't provide the solution.

I think Newt’s biggest mistake was going after Romney for investing in Freddie and Fannie when he had done the same. That was embarrassing.

Never a good idea to have the word "suck" in a sentence with Dick Morris...
To: newgeezer
The only way Romney can win elections is by totally demolishing and smearing an opponent who can’t answer back, and who has few establishment supporters to defend him. Obama is not going to be such an opponent. If the playing field is level, Romney will get crushed. Newt blew the Florida race in the debates..he should have kept attacking.

Not too profound. So Morris points out Romney went negative. Yawn. Negative ads work.

Morris seems to be a conservative Republican these days, but one friendly to the establishment. Strange the Clinton toe sucking guy ended up on our side.
Newt gave a pretty good concession speech. If he sounded like that in the debates he would have won.
It’s amazing how these stupid debates have totally driven this contest.
The next one isn’t for 3 weeks.
