AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

It was brought up during Marianne's Nightline performance.

Here's a story about it: Newt Gingrich, Marianne and the Arms Dealer:

Those are bigger issues to me, and just as reprehensible, and more of a basis on what I will cast my vote.

:0) I’m a fan of Sarah’s, and wouldn’t care if she did say she could see Russia from her porch, because, she could on a clear day. Just FYI.

“Tevye, “Fiddler on the Roof”
On the other hand, how can I turn my back on my faith, my people? If I try and bend that far, I’ll break. On the other hand... No. There is no other hand.”

EXACTLY.

Yeah I like that too, the quote from Tevye.

Today is the first day for me, ever, when driving in car listening to Rush, — that I had to turn the radio off.

A guy called in and said something like “I don’t see how people could or would NOT vote for Newt.” Then Rush said something like, “I see, it’s all very plain to YOU; but, there are a lot of people who don’t see it that way.” — As soon as he said that, I couldn’t stand it anymore. I actually said “Shut, up,” which is something I never say to people in “real life” to their faces! Ha!

There’s something about the way he said it, too. He knows he has influence, but...

Later I was driving again and heard Laura Ingraham interviewing Michael Reagan. She talked about Patrick Buchanan. I listened to that for a little while. But then she said something negative about Newt again and I just couldn’t take it anymore and shut the radio off again.

That doesn’t mean that I don’t want to face reality about Newt; I think if there are negatives that I’m not aware of, I’m going to have to get them from some other source, I guess. So far that doesn’t include Drudge either, who irritated me lately, too. ... I just started reading about Marianne and an arms dealer ... There was some guy named Sarkis Soghanalian and — It’s very gnarly — I’m going to re-read it later, but - Well yeah I guess “gnarly” is a good word to describe the twists of it. I don’t understand it yet. Wonder if that’s what Nancy Pelosi was trying to refer to when she said she “knew something”?! How strange.

Well OK so he lost Florida, but Florida has a lot of socialist-minded people in it, and besides which, isn’t that the state where they had the hanging chads and the recount stuff? Well OK I guess they also are the state of Jeb Bush, yeah. I’m sure they’ve re-vamped their voting system, but... So he lost Florida; that doesn’t mean it’s over. *sigh*

Even when Rush was saying that one little thing that upset me... couldn’t believe it. Was that really Rush talking? Has he morphed?! But all this time I’ve only been reading about Rush on FR and not actually listening to him for the past month or so. I was incredulous.

“There are a lot of people who don’t see it that way.” Hm, well, that’s an insidious and subtle way of putting it... Who cares — If everyone jumps off a cliff, should I do it?! Since when does Rush L care what the masses think? I didn’t think he was like that.

Ah, well, oh well, never mind.
