“The electorate only has info that is given to them. Not everyone is a FReeper nor do they know the depth of the duplicity of the press.”

That’s very true. In addition, I am relatively active with the local R party, and based on my conversations I have noticed that many conservative R women (I am talking about long-term conservative, Republican, strong family values, very politically aware types) find Newt’s personal life over the past 15 years, in particular his second divorce and third wife, to be repulsive. I am not defending that view; that’s just my observation. Family stability, commitment to a wife, etc. are important values to this class of voters. I am convinced Newt’s past is costing him 10 to 15 percent of the primary vote in the Southern states.

They must love Obama then.

That’s the first thing people I know say is the reason they don’t like Newt.

Then they are foolish. Romney supports abortion and always has. His record as Governor is that of an uber-liberal. And he appointed two judges that belonged to homosexual rights groups and that ushered in homosexual “marriage” through the courts.

I know many conservative women who won't tolerate having a mistress like Callista Gingrich run for First Lady ("She's no lady!"). It's not just Newt's indiscretions that hurt his chances.

Sadly, you are probably right. So, what will they be doing? Giving us a choice between two men who are - as far as anyone knows - faithful to their wives: Obama and Romney. They will be giving us a choice of one who is as anti-life, anti-traditional marriage, anti-children, etc. as can be imagined and the other who tells us that he is no longer anti-life, anti-traditional marriage, anti-(other peoples’) children, whose cultural roots are in an organization, the LDS, whose history is supportive of all that he now claims to be against, and racist to boot.

Elections should be about policy, programs, philosophy, and not things personal. In saying that I am not saying that character doesn’t matter. But are people stupid enough to think that they actually know any of these men well enough to judge their character, good or bad?

Again, Obama’s policies are indistinguishable from that of a hard leftist who is trying to destroy the nation from within. That’s all I need to know. Romney’s policies, past and present, are indistinguishable from that of any ambitious, light-on-principles climber who just wants his hands on the levers of power. That’s all I need to know.

When all is said and done, if Obama wins, America’s people will continue to be little Barry’s ant farm experiment. If Romney wins, America’s people will be the family dog tied to the roof of his presidential limo.
