Romney is an empty suit!! The only things he has ever accomplished in government are all bad!!

We cannot possibly allow the man who fathered RomneyCare which morphed into ObamaCare which ignited the flame that became the Tea Party become the Republican nominee for President of the Untied States!!

The man who denied Ronald Reagan, ran to the left of Ted Kennedy, bans guns, allows Massachusetts to become the first state in the union to implement same sex marriage, pushed socialist healthcare and individual mandates on his own people, appointed liberal activist judges, imposed tax payer funded abortion, raised taxes and fees, busted budgets and lies constantly about his own past record of betrayal while denigrating the actual conservative accomplishments of others cannot possibly be the very best the GOP has to offer!!

Romney's only accomplishments in government have been LIBERAL!!

The man has NO conservative achievements!! No core conservative principles!! NONE!! Has NEVER lifted a finger for any of our conservative causes!! He is in fact a disgusting LYING LIBERAL!!

Wake up America!! He cannot possibly beat Obama. There are no differences between his accomplishments and Obama's and the liberal media will be only too happy to point that out daily and hourly!!

He is Obama lite!!

Rush, Palin, Hannity, Christian leaders where are you?? America needs you NOW!! Get on the air!! Get on facebook!! Get on twitter!! Get on the phone!! Get on a plane!! Get on our side!! Defend conservatism!! Defend Life and Liberty!! Defend America!!

NO ROMNEY!!

"I have concerns about Newt, but I have set them aside in the quest to stop RomnObama, two sides of the same corrosive coin."

This has been my position for a few months. I am disregarding all candidates personal baggage and looking for the candidate that I think can lead us out of this mess. Newt Gingrich is the one that seems most likely to be the leader that can, and will do that. I will worry about baggage in some other election. Right now we just need the best leader we can posssibly have. Our very existence depends on it.

I have yet to see one thing in print that summarizes/articulates what Romney is running on. What are his ideas, specifically; what does he plan to do specifically to get the country on the right track? All I see/hear from the slime Willard is his constant denigrating of his republican opponents - Newt in particular.

So, I ask now, what is Romney running on? Just that he's "electable?" What a joke!

I prefer someone who has taken on liberals before and WON.

The proof of the pudding is the all out establishment attack on Newt. They ignore Santorum. He isn't a threat to the status quo. Newt is. A BIG threat. They hated him as Reagans Lieutenant and they hated him in 94. They still fear him. Hence the attacks.

Santorum continues his vanity run.
A vote for Santorum is a vote for Romney.

Right. All Santorum is doing is siphoning votes from Newt. That gives the liberal the lead. Maybe Santorum wants the VP spot with Romney. He certainly doesn’t want America to be the winner.

Newt was the big tent strategic party builder not the principled conservative. Newt was one of many republican “rock stars” in 94 Santorum was another. Santorum was winning for conservatism long after Newt had quit.

No he wasn't.

What really happened in the Gingrich ethics case?

Santorum was winning for conservatism long after Newt had quit.

Yup. He and Arlen Specter, right? Santorum couldn't even win in Pa last time. His presidential run is pure vanity. He's the spoiler who is going to hand it to Romney/Obama.

I was a big Cain supporter (gave him lots of money, too). Cain is saying to vote Newt. He knows Newt from way back. If Cain trusts him, that would tell me who to vote for—Newt.

Newt has been wacky sometimes. No one is perfect, especially Newt. But Newt is the only out-spoken and articulate critic of the Establishment powers that be and their agenda. Newt is voicing what the tea party wants to happen.

Summed up greatly by this politico story:

Newt Versus the Republican Establishment

A vote for Romney is a vote for bigger Federal Government, bigger debt and higher taxes.

If you want to expand Obamanation, just vote for Romney.

“I am curious. Why Newt? Is it only because he is NOT Romney and has a better chance than Santorum in beating Obama?
My understanding of Newt is he has some great conservative ideas but also many whacky liberal ideas.”

Newt’s long term record shows a completely different outlook for the future of the American people than Romney’s record shows - so it’s not ONLY that he is not Romney. That aside, politics encompasses the art of timing and the art of the possible - so you said it well, that Newt has a better chance of beating Obama than Santorum (or Romney). Also other conservative candidates have dropped out and endorsed Gingrich and that is also good reason to commit to one candidate now.

Whatever “whacky ideas” Gingrich may have, he also knows that with the microscope on him by the people who are striving to get him elected, and the congress that is swinging conservative, he will have his hands full correcting the course Obama and elitists have put this country on. So, I’m not that worried about him being able to press some big-liberal-idea agenda that encompasses every non-conservative idea he may have floated in a long political career in totally different times and circumstances.

In short, sam gamgee, timing is everything.

> Any of them would be WAYYYYY better than another four years of Obama!

I’m not so sure about that.

Obama as president: Republicans in Congress fight his agenda tooth and nail.

Romney as president: Same liberal ideas as Obama, but with the (R) veneer. Republicans in Congress (except for the true-blue, rock ribbed conservatives) go along to get along.

Which is worse, do you think???

> What to do, what to do. It will probably be a voting booth decision for me. I’m leaning toward voting for Cain anyway, he’s the only one I wholeheartedly support, if I want to be completely principled about it :-)

I’ve decided that if I can’t bring myself to vote for the chosen nominee, I’m going to write in Sarah Palin, for pretty much the same reason you mention for Cain.

We must show them who we believe in, not who gives us the least heartburn!!
