As previously reported, Willie Nelson is rallying behind the Occupy Wall Street protests. While many country artists have kept mum about their thoughts on the movement, Nelson posted a video in October of him and his wife reciting a poem they wrote in favor of Occupy.

Now, he’s joining forces with other famous musicians who share his stance on the topic by contributing to the album ‘Occupy This Album: A Compilation of Music By, For and Inspired by the Occupy Wall Street Movement and the 99%.’ The album is expected to release in the spring.

“Apparently, he is too stoned to understand that OWS wants to come down HARD on rich people who don’t pay enough taxes.”

Willie’s too stoned to remember to pay his taxes....that’s why keeps touring.

Willie has never been anything more than a drunken junkie with mediocre talent at best. From my viewpoint, Willie should just haul his sorry a$$ down to OWS where he can just drink and drug himself to death.

Word was back in the heyday that they never knew how Willie would arrive at a venue. It may be that he caught a ride with a trucker, hopped a plane, thumbed a ride, etc. but it seems he was a free bird so to speak. I enjoy the days when he had Waylon and Jessie Colter, along with his sister Bobbie. I’ve seen them do a two set, walk off to standing ovations and come back for another hour or so.

Ever since Ole Willie’s wife sewed him up in that sheet and beat the H#@@ out of him with a 2X4 his brain has been not quite right.

Willie’s greatest hit, IMO. Patsy Cline, 1962:

To paraphrase West - Willie can get the hell out of Texas.

Best recording of “Funny How Time Slips Away” was recorded by Joe Hinton:

When TV first started Willie tried to look like and act like Perry Como.
Actually wrote some songs for Perry.

“Weed With Willie” by Toby Keith/Scotty Emerick

I always heard that his herb was top shelf
And Lord I just could not wait to find out for myself
Don’t knock it til’ you tried it, Well I tried it my friend
I’ll never smoke weed with Willie again

Now we learned a hard lesson in a small Texas town
He fired up a fat boy and he passed it around
The last words that I spoke before they tucked me in
(I may discount bungee jump)
But I’ll never smoke weed with Willie again

I’ll never smoke weed with Willie again
My parties all over before it begins
You can pour me some old whiskey river my friend
But I’ll never smoke weed with Willie again

We hopped on his old bus, the Honey Suckle Rose
The party was Huntsville, it was after the show.
Alone in the front lounge, just me and him,
I took one parting puff and the grim creeper set in.

I’ll never smoke weed with Willie again
My parties all over before it begins
You can pour me some old whiskey river my friend
But I’ll never smoke weed with Willie again

(Lets go down to Texas guys)

Now we’re passing the guitar, we’re telling good jokes
I can tell ones a-comin’ cause I’m smelling the smoke
No I do not partake, I just let it pass by
With a grin on my face and a great contact high

I’ll never smoke weed with Willie again
My parties all over before it begins
You can pour me some old whiskey river my friend
But I’ll never smoke weed with Willie again

In the fetal position with drool on our chins
We broke down and smoked weed with Willie again

I never would have thought that Willie was financially anywhere near being qualified for a ‘99%’ membership. On other matters things are different.

“I think the weed has gone to his head.”

That’s where it’s supposed to go. ;>)

Willie is just an old hippy that has smoked too much pot and done who knows what else to fry his brain. He is always on the wrong side of issues.

That pretty well describes him. He has been a Leftist Democrat all his life. He has never been that good a singer but a great song writer.

Well, I am not wishing bad things on Willie even though he is an idiot. Drugs and old age have turned his mind to mush. I must also admit that I have a guitar autographed by Willie that I will immediately sell after he kicks the bucket.
