RE-ELECT OBAMA: VOTE NEWT!

January 25, 2012
To talk with Gingrich supporters is to enter a world where words have no meaning. They denounce Mitt Romney as a candidate being pushed on them by "the Establishment" -- with "the Establishment" defined as anyone who supports Romney or doesn't support Newt.

Gingrich may have spent his entire life in Washington and be so much of an insider that, as Jon Stewart says, "when Washington gets its prostate checked, it tickles [Newt]," but he is deemed the rebellious outsider challenging "the Establishment" -- because, again, "the Establishment" is anyone who opposes Newt.

This is the sort of circular reasoning one normally associates with Democrats, people whom small-town pharmacists refer to as "drug seekers" and Ron Paul supporters.

Newtons claim Romney is a "moderate," and Gingrich the true conservative -- a feat that can be accomplished only by refusing to believe anything Romney says ... and also refusing to believe anything Gingrich says.

-- Romney's one great "flip-flop" is on abortion. (I thought the reason we argued with people about abortion was to try to get them to "flip-flop" on this issue. Sometimes it works!)

Nearly two decades ago, when Romney was trying to defeat champion desecrator of life Sen. Teddy Kennedy, he sought to remove abortion as a campaign issue by declaring that he, too, supported Roe v. Wade.

(Nonetheless, Kennedy ran a campaign commercial against him featuring a Mormon woman complaining that Romney, as a Mormon elder, had pressured her not to have an abortion, but to give the child up for adoption. Are you getting the idea that Massachusetts is different from the rest of America, readers?)

Romney changed his mind on abortion -- not when it was politically advantageous, but when it mattered. As governor of liberal, pro-choice Massachusetts, he vetoed an embryonic stem cell bill and "worked closely" with Massachusetts Citizens for Life. The president of MCL recently issued a statement saying that, "since being elected governor, Mitt Romney has had a consistent commitment to the culture of life." Read More »

“Hmmm, she’s not all that serious being as she could support Newt:”

Her flippant remark isn’t possible support for Newt, it’s just more charlatan speak from Annie.

It is Annie who can’t be taken seriously any longer, after her love crush on Cristie and now Mittens.

She has turned into an emotional rant of a joke.

The season is still young. She will make sure we have the most Conservative candidate at the front.

She could virtually assure that Newt takes Obama down, if she joined him on the ticket.

Don't know that she'd do that (she has said, 'never again'), but who knows? Stranger things have happened, and this is one election we simply cannot afford to lose.

Even if she doesn't, though, we know that she'll be throwing her considerable weight and influence in his direction.

Way to double down Annie. Didn’t you say 3 mos ago if we didn’t nominate Christie, Romney would win and he would lose the election? So which is it dingbat?

Pray for Newt

It’s simple...she is anticipating Chris Christie being the VP for Romney and thinks that will get him elected...or she “know” Chris Christie will be Romney’s VP choice. In other orders, that’s what got her on board for Mitt.

Then, her man Big CC will follow Romney as CIC....just saying...

You only have to look not at what Romney says, but what he has DONE. He isn't a conservative, I wouldn't call him a 'moderate either'. He's a dammed Massachusetts liberal!

I don't think much of Newt either. Santorum can't win....

We're screwed......

The days of winning arguments by being subtle are over. As for Ann Coulter she is the one that has been screaming and callous. We (the Newt supporters) aren't going to take it anymore. Tired of letting the elite media hounds run the show and she is one of them. We want our message to be clear and loud! we want to hit back and if we vent on FR that is a good thing. It is one of the few havens online we can go to and defend Newt and our cause which is to elect the most conservative candidate running. I am sick of Coulter's trickle down slime and insulted at her attack on S.C.

So you are saying I should just wait for baseball season and only post about my favorite sport in that section of FR.

or golf talk when that comes up ?

This name calling and such is silly however like I tell most people if it makes the person calling the names feel better about themselves or feeds their narcissism so be it.

I hear she is hanging out in the same bar Maureen Dowd drinks at and Peggy Noonan drops in on them from time to time.

“This name calling and such is silly however like I tell most people if it makes the person calling the names feel better about themselves or feeds their narcissism so be it.”

I’m guessing the massive irony of your call to dispel “name calling” and emotion on an Annie Coulter thread is going over your head.

It’s not just a little funny.

I'm praying she gets drafted.

I'd be thrilled to even see her accept the VP slot with Newt. My heart would literally soar with the possibilities.

Fearful Intellectual Conservative Syndrome

Snips: Driven by fear, the game plan of our smart conservative gurus is to offer a liberal-lite candidate who will also promise freebies, but not so irresponsibly -- who will punish the rich, but not so severely.

I believe that these conservative colleagues are suffering from Fearful Intellectual Conservative Syndrome.

Intellectuals in our party such as Coulter and others are rallying around Romney because they fear that America will not elect a pedal-to-the-metal true conservative.  They believe that we need a liberal-lite to defeat Obama.

Meanwhile, we not-so-smart, naïve Tea Party patriots believe that a true conservative will win in a landslide.

We did the "liberal-lite thing" in '08 and lost.  Remember a guy named John McCain?  So why on earth would we go there again?

We know the drill.  Here is the play-by-play.  The lib media and Republican elite convince all the "smart people" on our side that only a reasonable "moderate" like Romney can possibly beat Obama.  So, out of fear, we select Romney as our 2012 presidential nominee.

Upon Romney officially winning the Republican nomination, the lib media turns on him.  Suddenly, they declare Romney a Mormon religious nut.  They release all kinds of stories about how electing Romney would equal the personification of evil in the White House.

And no left-wing/Democrat exploitation of having a black candidate would be complete without the lib media, the NAACP, and the Obama administration finding ways to portray Romney as a stealth KKK card-carrying racist.  This would be the left's 2012 presidential campaign against our "moderate" Republican candidate.

Newt is a conservative.
GO NEWT!!!! WOO-HOO!

Well damnit, I was speaking for myself! And I’m still mad as hell. For goodness sakes I like Newt too. I’m just waiting for the next shoe to fall!!!!! Why can’t he control himself better??? Hum??? I know he’s brilliant and he’s the only person on that debate platform who’s fighting for US! Fighting for us!!

No matter, I’ll vote for whomever the nominee is. So get off my back. It’s been a lousy day; my husband was turned down in the job we wanted! And I deserve my fifteen minutes of pity party. So there!!

I ran afoul of club Coulter here a year or few ago.

Given the level of fan worship passion directed my way, it was difficult to say what sort of depth I was dealing with.

Blind faith is a strange and fickle thing, "kid", and since one never knows how the afflicted will react, I asked.

I'm truly sorry for your loss.

Cheers
